This week has been hard for a variety of reasons, but one of them has been attempting to ignore the fact that Friday would be Miss Martina’s last day with us. Because if I ignored it long enough, maybe it just wouldn’t happen? 🥺
Martina has put up with all of my “What if we…?” “How about we…?” and probably more than a few ideas that started with, “You know what I’ve been struggling with…”
And through all of it, she just kept showing up and figuring out how to make it happen.
She stepped into roles across both MHK Play Studio and Sun Fusion, took over communication with customers, coordinated all of our parties, kept me organized, handled countless things behind the scenes, and somehow still managed to show up every day wherever she was needed.
There are people who have a job, and then there are people who quietly become part of how everything works. Martina became the latter.
I honestly don’t know what it looks like to take some of those responsibilities back on myself, which is probably another reason I’ve been pretending this day wasn’t looming. 😂
Miss Martina, thank you for being willing to jump into the chaos, grow with us, laugh with us, and take care of so many things that most people never even saw.
Good luck on your next adventure. You will be missed around here more than you know.
