Team K.O. was represented by Noah on Saturday on a show held by Alley Boxing Club. He won his fight. 🫑

Noah used his movement and his jab to keep the fight at his distance, and selected the right time to unleash some heavy body shots that slowed his opponent.
Noah gave his opponent an 8 count to close the 3rd round. Noah won by split decision, not the kind of decision we are comfortable with as the goal is for us to demonstrate a clear and obvius winner to all 3 judges. We will learn from this in more ways this one. Right back to the lab. πŸ§«πŸ”¬

Noah is approaching 10 fights, which is a testament to his hard work ethic. He stays in the gym and is constantly finding ways to get better. He represents Team K.O. proudly. πŸ™πŸΎ

Team K.O. was back in competition this past Saturday at KC in an event hosted by Full Throttle Fighters. We went 1-1.

Noah stepped into the ring first and won his fight decisively. He made improvements from one week to another and applied the things we wanted to work on. Although winning is important, development is the long-term goal. He got better and came back home with a belt in the process! He's scheduled to fight Aug 22nd in Wichita. πŸ’ͺ🏽

Elijah stepped in next and we lost an action-packed fight for the second week in a row. Elijah really dug deep in the 3rd round of his fight. It leveled him up. We will take that momentum into training as he preps for his next fight also on August 22nd. 😀

No matter the result of the fights, it's always right back to the lab to keep working. πŸ§«πŸ”¬

How to use a slip rope in a non-traditional way to help with head/body shot transitions. πŸ§«πŸ”¬

The rope gives a good visual for separation of body into halves. Punching above the slip rope will emulate aiming for the head and punching below is the body. The visual is especially good for beginner/intermediate boxers to help familiarize them with level changing transitions. Give it a shot! πŸ’ͺ🏽
