Southern Elite is a nonprofit organization designed to teach the principles of teamwork, responsibility, leadership and good sportsmanship through participation in physical and classroom volleyball training. Our coaching staff consists of all previous collegiate volleyball players that are certified USA volleyball coaches. All skill levels and ages are welcome.

Our Southern Elite Academy program is designed to give young athletes the opportunity to learn the game, build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and experience being part of a team in a positive and competitive environment!

The Academy is perfect for athletes ages 8–13 who are newer to volleyball, have recreation experience, or are ready to take the next step in their development.

📅 ACADEMY TRYOUTS: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

Ages 8–10: 1:00–2:00 PM
Ages 11–13: 2:30–3:30 PM

Our Academy season runs November–April, giving athletes the opportunity to train, compete locally, and continue building their game throughout the season.

Registration is now OPEN for Southern Elite Team Tryouts!

Whether your athlete is just getting started, looking for more competitive opportunities, or ready to compete at the highest level, we have a program designed to help them grow.

Choose the path that’s right for you:

💙 Academy (Ages 8–14)
• Perfect for athletes with recreation or intermediate experience
• Local tournaments
• Skill development in a competitive team environment

💚 Regional (Ages 9–14)
• Local & light travel (gulf coast area)
• Ideal for athletes preparing for Travel Volleyball or High School

🏐 IT’S TIME TO START BUILDING FOR NEXT SEASON. 🏐

Southern Elite Volleyball Club is excited to officially open registration for our 2026-2027 Travel Team Tryouts!

As we prepare for another great season, we’re putting the finishing touches on some exciting plans for our athletes and families. Training will begin in September, and we can’t wait to share several new partnerships and program enhancements that will help elevate the Southern Elite experience even further.

Whether you’re looking to compete at the Regional or Elite level, now is the time to earn your spot and start preparing for the season ahead. Remember to register for the age they will be from January 2027-June 2027!

We offer two training tracks:

🚨 NEXT WEEK we are launching a 4-week Tryout Prep Program designed specifically to help athletes walk into high school tryouts prepared, confident, and ready to stand out.

📍 Slidell (Salmen)
Starts Monday 4/20

📍 Mandeville (Franco’s)
Starts Tuesday 4/21

⏰ 5:15–6:30 PM

✨ What We’ll Cover:
• Skill refinement and consistency
• Tryout-style drills and game scenarios

Small group training is back this May with a focus on skill development, consistency, and game-ready performance.

📍 Slidell (Salmen High School)
Mondays | 5:30–6:30 PM

Thursdays | 5:30–6:30 PM

✨ Training Options:

Development Lab
Designed for athletes building their foundation. Focus on ball control, passing, serving, movement, and overall skill consistency.

Performance Training
Built for athletes ready to train at a higher level. Emphasis on game-speed drills, positional work, decision-making, and competitive play.

All sessions are small groupto allow for high reps and individualized coaching.
