Fall lessons are underway at NorthShore Swim, but it may not be too late for your swimmer to join us! đź’™

If you’ve been thinking about lessons, now is a great time to reach out. Select classes may still have availability, and our team can help determine the best option based on your child’s age, experience and current comfort level in the water.

Swimming is a skill children can continue building throughout every season, not only during the summer. Consistent instruction helps them retain what they’ve learned while continuing to grow in confidence and ability.

Swim confidence doesn’t have to stay at the pool! Here are three simple ways to support your child between lessons:

đź’§ Let them practice getting comfortable with water on their face during bath time.

đź’§ Encourage slow bubbles in the water instead of holding their breath.

đź’§ Use calm, positive language, and avoid forcing a child who feels frightened or overwhelmed.

These activities should always be supervised and kept lighthearted. The goal isn’t to recreate a full swim lesson at home; it’s to help your child build a positive relationship with the water.

Small, comfortable experiences can make a meaningful difference over time. Save this post for bath time, and share it with another swim parent! đź’™

Meet Miss Gitte, the owner and heart behind NorthShore Swim! đź’™

Through patient instruction, encouragement and a genuine commitment to every child, Miss Gitte has created a place where swimmers can feel comfortable, supported and proud of their progress.

She loves watching children grow in confidence, overcome their fears and discover what they’re capable of in the water!

We’re so grateful for the care and dedication she brings to the NorthShore Swim family.

Just like learning to read, ride a bike or play a sport, swimming takes repetition. Regular lessons help children remember what they’ve learned, strengthen their technique and become increasingly comfortable in the water.

Consistency also gives swimmers time to work through fears without pressure. A skill that feels difficult today may become the one they’re most proud of accomplishing a few weeks from now!

Progress may look different for every child, but each positive experience in the water helps build a stronger, more confident swimmer.

Save this as your reminder that small steps still count, and they add up! đź’™

You signed them up because learning to swim is important…and now they’re asking how many sleeps until their next lesson. 🥹

That’s one of our favorite things to see: children becoming safer and more confident in the water while genuinely enjoying the process.

From putting on their goggles to jumping in and celebrating a brand-new skill, we want swim day to be something your child looks forward to each week!

Does your little swimmer get excited when they realize it’s swim day? Tell us below! 💙

Swim progress doesn’t happen all at once; it’s built one lesson at a time. 💙

Consistent lessons give children the opportunity to:

đź’¦ Become more comfortable in the water
đź’¦ Strengthen skills through repetition
đź’¦ Build independence and confidence
đź’¦ Develop trust with their instructor
đź’¦ Make progress without feeling rushed

Every swimmer develops at their own pace, and that is exactly why consistency matters. We’re so excited to watch our fall swimmers learn, grow and celebrate all those little victories along the way!

Follow along for a look at what we’re learning this season, and contact us to ask about remaining fall availability.
