Dear Pickleball Players,
Once again, the Northshore Pickleball League playoffs took place at Franco’s Athletic Club, bringing an exciting close to our fourth season. The top four teams from each division battled it out in a single-elimination format, with every team fielding their three strongest mixed teams from their roster. You could feel the intensity on every court, and the level of play continues to rise each season.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day, welcoming over 130 people who came out to play and watch. Participants and spectators enjoyed fantastic catering provided by The Reminding, which helped make the atmosphere even more memorable. The energy, sportsmanship, and community spirit on display truly defined what this league is all about.
The results are as follows:
- 60+ Division Intermediate Level PAC B1 captained by MaryBeth Kenney took the title home making this one their third title in a row. They beat Crossgates B1 captained by Becky Maillet.
- 18+ Division Intermdiate Level, Beau Chene B1 captained by Ben Osner, took the win home against a tough opponent PAC B1 captained by Nelson Sosh. Not bad for Beau Chene after being their first time qualifying for the playoff event.
- 18+ Division Beginner Level, Franco’s C1 captained by Mary Mierl, took the win home against Beau Chene C1 captained by Matt Faust. Amazing to see the beginner players competing and improving week by week.
- 18+ Division High Intermediate Level, a strong Crossgates A1 took care of business in a final that all came down to line three. After dominating the regular season and beating a team full of very strong players like PAC A1 captained by Frank Reda.
Thank you to all the teams and every participant. Without your commitment and passion, this league simply wouldn’t be possible. With more teams, stronger players, and even more fun planned for next season that will start February 2026.
I hope you all have a great holiday season—and remember to d**k responsibly.
Sincerely,Robert Herrera
