Non-competitive 5k run or walk The Mandan 4th of July Race is a staple event during the Mandan 4th of July celebration.

For 30 plus years hundreds of runners have been celebrating the start of their 4th of July celebrations with a GOOD OLD FASHION RUN!!!!!! This is your chance to keep the tradition alive and help support of the community.

The finish line has been packed away, the medals have been earned, and another incredible Mandan 4th of July Road Race is complete! Almost 1,000 Participants for 2026!

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, sponsor, and community partner who helped make this year's race such a success. Whether you were chasing a personal record, running with family, or simply celebrating Independence Day in Mandan, you made this event something truly special.

RACE DAY IS SATURDAY!

Get ready to kick off your Independence Day with one of Mandan’s favorite traditions—the Mandan 4th of July Road Race on Main Street!

Race Details:
📍 Location: Starts in front of the Dykshoorn Park and Art in the Park.
📅 Date: Thursday, July 4, 2026
🕗 Time: Race begins at 8:00 AM—just before the Mandan Independence Day Parade!
👟 Type: Noncompetitive 5K Run & Walk
🎽 Packet Pick-Up and Onsite Registration:
➡️ July 3: 10:00 AM–3:00 PM | Main St. in front of Dykshoorn Park
➡️ July 4: 6:00 AM–7:30 AM | Near the finish arch on Main St.
📝 Onsite - Registration Info:
Onsite (July 3–4, if available): $50 adults / $35 youth
Includes race bib, — Limited quantities of t-shirts for onsite registration.

We’re feeling the love! The Mandan Road Race set a new participation record and gifted a record $9,000 to the Bismarck Cancer Center to support local cancer patients. Huge thanks to the organizers, runners, volunteers, and sponsors who made it happen!

What an incredible Mandan Road Race on the 4th of July!

Last week’s race was one for the books — with over 700 participants, we smashed our previous record by more than 150 runners!
