Most electric bicycles used in our community are Class 1 or 2. These have motors under 750 Watts and a top speed of 20 mph. They are permitted on city streets, bike lanes, and multi-use trails like those along the Heart River. No license or insurance is required for these devices.

🏈 NEW YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM! 🏈

Mandan Parks is excited to introduce a brand new Flag Football program for kids entering 1st & 2nd grade! Registration is now available for this fun opportunity to learn the basics of flag football in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Participants will enjoy weekday evening practices and games while building skills, confidence, and teamwork — plus each player will receive a team T-shirt! 🙌

📅 Season Dates: August 24 – October 3
📝 Registration: June 15 – August 3
📍 Location: Mandan Softball Complex
🏈 Practices: Monday or Tuesday evenings
🏈 Games: Thursday evenings
💲 Fee: $65

Ready to hit the river? The Northern Plains National Heritage Area is planning its annual kayak event and safety training tomorrow, June 13 on the Missouri River!

This year’s route is scheduled from Hogue Island to the Car Bodies boat ramp in Mandan — a great opportunity to enjoy the river while learning important kayaking safety skills.
