Unfortunately our “free-ninety nine” treadmill bit the dust for good! Coach Kenton is good at CPR, but it was beyond his abilities!

Never fear! We are on the hunt for a new machine to fill the open space!

Reduce your Stress with food?

You are reading that right!

Stress increases our cortisol levels- Cortisol is our stress hormone.

So here are some foods that can help to reduce our cortisol levels!
Dark chocolate- needs to be at least 70% cocoa content!

What is the most studied & most researched supplement that everyone can benefit from?

Creatine!

And before you jump on me, hear me out!

Did you know that creatine is actually already in the meats that we eat? Chicken, beef, turkey, pork, seafood…they all contain creatine!

Now the amount is pretty small, which is why supplements exist. And you definitely need to know your supplement company & make sure there is 3rd party testing for banned substances!

But since creatine is already present in that steak or chicken that is on your plate, you can be assured that having more is totally safe.

As to the other “worry” that women have…taking a dose of creatine will not make you look like Arnold! That takes years of hard work, lifting very heavy & intentional nutrition to make that happen!!

In fact, there is a lot of research being done on creatine in traumatic brain injury, preventing dementia & Alzheimer’s!

The marks FOR taking creatine are more than not!

SIMPLE FRUIT PROTEIN SMOOTHIE
Servings: 1
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 Scoop Level-1 Vanilla Ice Cream
1/2 Cup Frozen Berry Blend
5 Strawberries
1 Tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
DIRECTIONS:
For this recipe, you'll need:
• Blender
1. Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

If Strawberries aren't your thing, use blueberries, raspberries, blackberries... Or add banana for a strawberry -banana smoothie! Just keep in mind(if you are tracking food) that any changes you make will change the macros listed on the picture!
