This Sunday, May 7th at the Parkway South Varsity Night, legendary Coach Chip Allison is being inducted into the Parkway South Hall of Fame!! This is a very well earned recognition of a man who has given his career and life making others better!

The event starts at 6:30pm at the football stadium. We need all South Wrestling alumni, current wrestlers, wrestling families, and supporters there to celebrate Coach Allison, the other HOF inductees, and the athletes.

There will be a gathering at TJs Wings in Valley Park afterwards, starting at 8:30.

Look forward to seeing you there!

SENIOR NIGHT tomorrow night! Pack Gym C this Wednesday at 5pm to celebrate these 10 standout seniors as they take on Rockwood Summit!

Congratulations to our seniors and their stellar careers (with the best yet to come at State this year):

Josiah Griffith - 4 year varsity starter
Kadance Coffin - 4 year varsity starter & State qualifier
Nadia Middendorf - 3 time state Qualifier & 2 time state medalist (3rd & 6th)
Janiah Jones - 2 time state qualifier & 2 time medalist (5th & 6th)

The boys and girls teams had a good showing at the always tough Fred Ross Tournament at Lafayette.

Boys medalists:
Jack Koerber 4th
Drew Mattison 2nd
Logan Wactor 6th (just short of medaling but got his first 2 varsity pins, as a freshman)

Girls medalists:
Julia Mattison 5th
Tiana Paul 4th
Taya Stanford 3rd

Way to go, we're proud of you all!

Happy birthday to South hall of fame Coach and Athletic Director, Coach Chip Allison!

Here at the naming of the Chip Allison Patriot Classic alongside lifelong friends and former assistant wrestling coaches (and football coaches). On the left is Coach John Lindquist, who sadly passed away recently, and on the right is Coach Tom Dailey.

May your birthday be as special and impactful as you are! Happy birthday Coach!

JANIAH WINS IN SEMIS!!! She wrestled a fantastic match, knocking off the #1 seed 8-4!

Way to go JJ!

Our small and mighty group of girls is having a great tournament!

- Janiah is in the semis with 2 more pins!
- Kadance wrestled an amazing match vs 3rd in state girl but fell late, then lost. She had a great tournament!
-Tiana dropped her 2nd match but pinned the next 3!!!
- Skylyn won her first match on the back side by a pin but had to medical forfeit. Great tournament in her 1st year!

Way to go girls, more work to be done tomorrow!

These 5 studs compete at Wonder Woman this Thursday and Friday! In brackets of 50+ girls, Janiah is seeded 6th and Tiana 11th. We are very proud of each of you!
