Saw a post the other day looking for info on reinstalling a chain in an old cat. The design is fairly simple. The receiver clutch shaft, drives the top gear. That shaft passes through an adjustable excentric that is installed in the top of the chain case. Turning that eccentric moves the top gear to gain the proper chain tension. Installing both gears and chain at the same time I'd easiest.
