Whats the significance of the Bob Gilman Fun Run- Ski/Snowboard Race!?
Bob was born and raised in Manchester, NH and developed a love for skiing as an adult. He taught lots of people how to ski as well as coached them in racing. He skied all over the world and his home mountain always remained McIntyre Ski Area !
When the school board was going to cut alpine skiing out of the budget in the 90's...Bob not only volunteered to coach all 3 high school teams, he also gave much of his time and money to helping keep the sport alive in the Manchester High Schools.
During his second bout with cancer due to Agent Orange exposure during his time in the air force, Bob succumbed to complications from his cancer fight- at the young age of 48.
High school ski racing remains alive and well in Manchester, NH- still...and we spend the day out having some fun on the mountain in his honor/memory- all while helping NH Cancer Warriors!

Thomas Tran - out of a field of 62 boys won BOTH GS runs to ski out of Finals and into the State Championships!

Connor Fucile in his first year of U14 made State Championships!

Congratulations to these two and we look forward to seeing them ski fast!

There’s no fooling - our 2021/2022 season is officially a wrap! The U10, U12 and U14 competition squads were special guests of honor at our team banquet this week, hosted by McIntyre Ski Area. Medals were bestowed in each age group for the Most-Improved Athlete and the Coach’s Award, which recognized a racer who gave 150% in their sportsmanship, effort and enthusiasm throughout the winter. We are extremely proud of all the kids and thankful for their supportive families. We hope you enjoy your warmer months and your official 2021-2022 McIntyre Ski Team t-shirts!!

McIntyre Ski Team was well represented today at the Chip Gilroy Memorial T-Shirt Race at Mount Sunapee Resort!! Not only did our athletes rock the course, our parents rocked the tailgating. Good times (in more ways than one)!

We said goodbye to our home practice slopes of McIntyre Ski Area for the season last night with the annual Parent vs. Athlete Dual Race! And to top it off, we had St. Patrick’s Day treats waiting for us at the finish. ☘️

CONGRATULATIONS to our athletes who qualified and competed in this past weekend's NHARA U12 State Championship slalom and giant slalom races at Cannon Mountain! Maya D., Sophia K. and Connor F. laid down four solid runs on two tough courses in tough powder conditions!! Our whole team is proud of you.
