🏈Attention: West Delaware 5th/6th Grade Football Players🏈

Tonight’s practice (8/18) will still take place from 5:30-7pm. Due to the heat, we will not wear our pants and leg pads. Please wear shorts, shoulder pads, practice jerseys, and helmets. We’ll monitor the heat closely, and remove the shoulder pads and helmets if necessary. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Tomorrow’s sale at HD has been postponed until next Sunday, August 17th from 12-6pm.

We are still exploring every option to keep this facility operating in Manchester. We’ll spend the next week continuing to look into possibilities that could keep HD available to Manchester athletes and our neighboring communities.

Hitters Depot will be hosting a Facility Sale on Sunday, August 10th from 10am-4pm.

Items for sale will include: Facility, athletic, office, entertainment, furniture, storage, and training equipment.

If any item you have ever used or seen inside HD is of interest to you, and if you’d like to inquire about purchasing it prior to this sale, please contact me directly.

It is with a lot of sadness and difficulty that I am making this post. Many of you are already aware, but I need to publicly announce that HD is currently undergoing the process of permanently closing its doors.

I have explored every potential option to keep HD available to our community, and I have poured every last ounce of finances into keeping it operable. Believe me, nobody wants this facility available to Manchester area athletes more than I do. I wish there was anything that could be done that would allow our athletes to continue their development inside this building. I will continue to fight until the very end, and explore any avenue that would keep HD within our community, but we are definitely into the Bottom of the 9th inning now.

To the athletes, please understand this venture was never about money. I never made a dollar from this project, and I have given far more than I could ever recover. I wish I was able to give even more in order to keep this space available for you, but I have reached a limit where there is nothing left to give. I created this facility with the sole wish that we can have it and enjoy it together. I’ll forever wish I could have provided that for a longer period of time.

Thank you all for your support of HD. I genuinely loved teaching courses and providing lessons to all of the athletes. Watching your development and times of success will forever be some of the greatest moments of my life. Thank you for trusting me to coach you and be a part of your journey. Any single piece of advice or guidance that I gave that may have assisted you with your goals, makes all of this worth the ride for me. There are so many moments shared with individual athletes, teams, coaches, friends, and family that I will forever cherish.

As part of shutting down operations, every item inside HD is for sale. The contents of HD can be sold to any individual, group, or entity, as a complete facility package or as multiple individual pieces. If you are interested in purchasing any of the contents within HD, please contact me asap.

If any of our HD Athletes have unused Punch Cards or Gift Cards, please do your best to utilize them between now and August 4th.

HD may be operating under new management, and/or from a new location in the near future.

More information will be available in the coming days, but please use any remaining cards prior to August 4th. All cards may be used towards Individual Cages and HitTrax Rentals.

🥎Congratulations to the 10U Hitters Depot Hawks Softball team for their 3rd place finish at the USSSA Iowa State Softball Tournament this past weekend!

This group of girls worked extremely hard throughout the fall, winter, and spring to develop into the team they are today. I watched each of them put in constant effort through team practices, pitching camps, 1 on 1 lessons, and countless hours of individual work. Last fall, they decided as a group to take a chance and do things a little bit differently this year, and they then went on to put together a great season. They capped things off with a 5-1 record in the State Tournament, along with a 3rd Place Finish.

The coaching staff did a great job developing each member of this team, helping them improve, and leading the group to a very successful season. You won’t find many softball coaching staffs better than the group of Tom Martin, Clint Cummings, and Nate Lahr.

Congrats girls! We all are very excited for your future. Get back to work soon.
