The Premier League is dormant for another week, as players are back with their home country teams for some international play. After a disappointing start (just five points through five games, with a record of 1-2-2), Manchester United returns to action on Oct. 10 against Tottenham and then plays a Champions League game against Atletico Madrid two days later.

Also of note: Manchester’s other PL team is in trouble away from the pitch, as an independent Premier League commission found Manchester City guilty of serious financial-rule violations following a long-running case involving 115 charges. This will take time to play out but there's chatter that as punishment City might face huge fines and maybe even relegation.
