We're starting with the original guard of all guards! The Closed Guard! We're taking this fundamental guard and adding a fundamental submission, and finishing with a sweep. What we get is a slick attack that with a little practice you can land a lot.

Keep working and grinding, we're half way there!

This is a great sequenced attack when your opponent starts stuffing your shots. You can also slow yourself down and draw them in! Gotta work that standup!!!

The Toreando Pass is a classic pass that all bjj players should know, and know well! The directions you can take after you pass are limitless, so many different avenues to continue down. Today we show a great option that keeps getting better and better!

We're going back to one of the first chokes you learn when you step on the mats, The Cross Collar Choke! I think you can always learn and improve your technique. Every time you watch a high level black belt do a fundamental technique. Look at the small nuances, that's where the gold is!

There are a few sweeps that I think of when I hear fundamental sweeps. Flower, Scissor, Pendulum, and the Hip Bump! The small details make this such a great sweep. Using your opponents own force against them to put them on their back easily.

I say it to the newer belts a lot when we are drilling fundamental techniques in class. Stacking fundamentals is a great way to improve your jiu-jitsu game. Here we have two seperate techniques stacked together to get a submission, go try it out!
