I love teaching this drill. This works great for one handed bowlers looking for a stronger hand position at release. Have a bowler grab the lightest house ball their two fingers will fit in. Have the bowler hod the ball with their wrist cupped so the ball touches their forearm. Then have them perform a normal foul line drill. The cupped wrist will put their hand in a strong leverage position. This helps the bowler feel the position without the full weight of their normal ball. Once the drill is over I ask the bowler to do a foul line drill with their ball (without cupping thier wrist to the previous extent) but keep the feel of the lighter ball.
