MSA’s sailing season officially began this week with three days of Introductory instruction aboard our Ideal 18s in partnership with the Steep Week! Fourteen sailors in the seventh and eighth grades began by helming our fleet beyond the harbor on a windy Wednesday morning (pictured), honed their craft over three sailing fantastic days, and concluded Steep week with a grand finale race around Great & Little Misery Islands on Friday afternoon!

There’s still time to get on the water this summer!

MSA’s June Learn to Sail Week is designed specifically for adults with little or no sailing experience: five evenings of hands-on instruction on beautiful Manchester Harbor, June 8 to 12, from 5 to 8 PM. By Friday, you’ll be steering, trimming sails, and building real confidence on the water alongside a great group of fellow beginners.

With summer now only two months away, the season is beginning to feel clearer, closer, and more real! Soon, Manchester Harbor will again be full of young sailors learning new skills, building confidence, making friends, and discovering the particular joy of being out on the water day after day.

MSA’s Summer 2026 Junior Sailing Program begins June 22, and limited space remains in select sessions for sailors ages 7–18. Whether your sailor is stepping into a boat for the first time or returning with experience, there is still time to join us for an amazing summer of sailing!
