Pilates is.....one of the simplest methods for connecting to your own strength, flexibility, power, and concentration.

You'll sometimes hear me refer to Pilates as a "movement methodology," which is just another way of saying it's a system for connecting to your own core musculature and being more aware of how your core moves you through your daily activities.

Think of it as learning the proper way of moving and living within your body. It is not just intended to give you a good workout during the time you are in the studio -- to build long lean muscles emanating from a strong core. Pilates builds your core, your awareness of how it works, and the awareness of how it enables your whole body to move freely and painlessly. In that way, this movement methodology will connect with your health and well-being, and be with you throughout your everyday life.

It’s a life changer because it improves, stabilizes and strengthens your everyday movements. Everything from the way you reach for a plate in your cabinet, the way you get in your car, the way you walk up the stairs. It’s how you are sitting on the sofa and you twist your body around to place your coffee on the side table. It’s how all your muscles are working as a team to get the job done.
