Moto Camp!
Day one recap, believe that I can!

Grady had the privilege of interviewing with Coach Corey before hitting the track for his first day of training. “Talks with Corey” are something Grady looks forward to, every chance he gets! Not only does Grady idolize Coach Corey for his passion of motocross, he cherishes the friendship they have created.

The weather was far from ideal, track conditions continued to worsen, and his nerves were visibly high. With Coach Corey’s supportive and positive attitude, Grady came off the track feeling unstoppable! The kid who refused to ride, unless given pristine conditions, is begging to rip in the rain and mud.

Memorial Day Weekend.
Log Road D14 Series and Open Practice.

Saturday - nothing but mud.
Grady ran both motos & without a doubt, he went 2 for 2 on the holeshot! He powered through the mud and stayed up in moto one. Second moto was short lived & he went down in the first turn (on purpose). Clutch, Carb…both - the bike was pulled off & he was unable to finish. Taking home a second place overall. (HUGE thank you to all the Log Road staff for your support!)

Sunday - bike down.
We spent the day at the track and watched Uncle Kodey Brashares come alive! After motos we loaded up & headed to K2 MotorSports LLC to tear into the bike. A few fresh parts & lots of learning for mom, Kyler Gimenez had the bike back to new.

Monday - prime conditions.
Practice day. Grady went out for three practices & really started putting the pieces together. He looked flawless on the track and comfortable with his bike. He ran with 65 and 85 bikes, keeping up with some and passing others! Huge improves with his throttle control, corner speed, and body positioning.

A fun weekend with the “OG” crew…bringing us back to where it all started. Exactly what we needed. 🏁

A tough weekend of racing.

Saturday, Grady dug deep. He pushed through the fear and rough conditions, found his strength and never quit! Placing 10th overall.

Sunday, we made the call to sit it out. Not because he couldn’t do - but because sometimes the strongest move is to pause, reset, and rebuild his confidence for the next gate drop.

This sport isn’t just about speed, although Grady thinks so. It’s about resilience, growth, and learning when to push forward and when to regroup.

We are so proud of him for facing a tough weekend head-on. We knew this season was going to present its challenges and feel like starting over, but there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that he isn’t ready. And as a parent, this kind of grit means everything.

Thanks to everyone who showed up and supported Grady when he needed it most. Thanks to the club members who encouraged him and consistently reminded him of how great his attitude was, while determined to finish the race. And as always, to his sponsors - the people who make these weekends possible… Thank you!!

Sunday May 3- Round 1 D14 Michigan State Championship, Round 1 D14 Womens Motocross Crown

Gates Open Friday May 1@5pm
$15 per person gate fee
Overnight Parking allowed

The 2026 moto season has officially kicked off!
We stayed close to home this weekend and kicked off our moto season with some HUGE wins!

I might be far from placing with my buddies, but I’m still confident in rippin’ holeshots & finishing my race!

From nerves to confidence at the drop of the gate! My first race on the big track with a few highlights and one hard hit. Throwing tricks over the jumps. Throttling through ruts. Busted (new) helmet. Broken goggles and a sore shoulder. I pulled through it all and finished.

You know, “The jump over there when I go over it!” 🤣
… when he “digged”. 🤣🥹

A tough practice yesterday at BattleCreek MotorcycleClub. Soft dirt and two crashes later, I pulled off feeling pretty defeated. There’s still a lot of learning and practice to be had at this level, but I have worked hard to get to this point and there’s no turning back. I’m ready for another moto season with the guys who make it fun and push along side me every weekend. 🤘🏼

Thanks to everyone who helped get my bike ready to rip this weekend: Kodey Brashares, James, K2 MotorSports LLC, and Mom. Thanks to my Dad and April for getting me to the track with some new gear and Mom for meeting us there - loaded and ready to rip!

Special shoutout and huge thanks to Great Lakes Moto Coach, Corey, for helping to hype me up on such a defeating day. From my first training at age 4, on the PDub, to many more on both bigger bikes and tracks! We appreciate your support!
