The most exciting news!!! Mono county will be in the red tier this sunday!!!! The gym re-opens sunday morning!!!

01/27/2021

Hey! By now, I'm sure you all know that Mono County is in the Purple tier. As soon as we get into the red tier, the gym will open!

The gym is now closed again. I'm just so sad about this. We have been running with two people at a time, reservations required. I've been told by members that they feel very safe in the gym. To my knowledge, no members have been sick or tested positive at any time. People need the gym for their sanity during these turbulent times, as well as the need to stay fit and healthy. It just makes no sense to me. How, after nearly 9 months, can we not find a way to evaluate individual businesses???? To re-evaluate essential?!?!? I feel helpless. I want my business to survive (without burying me in debt). But my overwhelming feeling is a sadness at having to close my doors to my members who love and need the gym as much as I do. I hope this latest closure is a brief one. Stay healthy.

Re-Opening!!!!!
MSG re-opens today!
For the health and safety of all, the following modifications are in place:
***Members only (no drop ins for now😔). All memberships are purchased online.
***Only 4 members in gym at any time. No reservations for now. This may change.
***Members must agree to sanitize every piece of equipment used.
***Cleaning and disinfecting will be done several times a day, especially after higher traffic.
***Additional rules and guidelines posted in the gym.

If you are unfamiliar with Mammoth Strength, we are a quiet, low traffic gym with high ceilings and a large garage door that can be operated by members (I encourage you to have it open as much as possible). It is extremely easy to maintain 6 feet of separation.

To my current members: Your membership holds will end June 18th. If you need to cancel or extend your hold, you may do so anytime by logging into your account. Please contact me with any questions or concerns!

Hi All,

In light of ongoing COVID-19 developments, I wanted to connect with all of you on the current operational status of Mammoth Strength and changing protocols. We will need to work as a community to ensure that everyone remains safe & healthy.

At this time, Mammoth Strength will remain open for business with the following protocols in place.
· Do not come to the gym if you are not feeling well or have been around anyone not feeling well.
· Use the provided sanitizer wipes to clean all equipment before and after use.
· Wash yours hand regularly with soap and for a minimum of 20 seconds.
· To provide enough space for all, a max of 6 people are permitted in the gym at the same time. Create a space for your workout a minimum of 6 feet away from others.
· We will be cleaning and sanitizing the gym more frequently including wiping down commonly touched surfaces and all equipment.
· All drop ins will asked to follow all of these same protocols.

I appreciate everyone’s commitment to keeping Mammoth Strength a clean and safe place as we all navigate these unprecedented times and I understand the importance of this place more than ever as we weather these stressful circumstances. With that being said, please make smart decisions to keep yourself and our community strong.

As always, please reach out to me with any questions at all.

"Learning to move the barbell through the body’s normal range of motion without falling down means that you’re producing force and balancing at the same time. The use of your ankles, knees, hips, spine, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers, and all the muscles that move them – all working together, under an increasingly heavy load – while you stay upright, means that all your joints and all your muscles are operating the way your anatomy is designed to operate: getting stronger while balancing on your feet." -Mark Rippetoe

Barbell training is the best way to train for strength. Bar none. Nothing else even comes close to the effectiveness of barbell squats, presses, deadlifts, and the Olympic lifts for the development of strength, power, and muscular size...You should be using them.
