We are organizing an ESCF volunteer opportunity with Grassroots Grocery on 4/4 at 9am in the Bronx (about 15 mins from Mamaroneck).
We will be helping to unload a truck and pack and sort thousands of pounds of rescued produce in a festive, music-filled, family-friendly atmosphere.
After packing, we will load vehicles with produce for delivery into the community — and those who wish can even choose to deliver the produce themselves. By the end of the morning, we will have helped move 10,000+ pounds of produce that would have otherwise gone to waste — reaching 30 communities and 1,500+ families in a single morning.
Please sign up and feel free to include friends and family including kids of any age. We are trying to fill a minimum of 20 volunteers slots.
