This past weekend, 9th grader, Naomi Gonzalez, wrestled in the Girls Folkstyle & Freestyle Wrestling divisions at the WAR at the Shore ‘23 Tournament in Wildwood, NJ🤼‍♀️
She won 1st Place🥇 for both divisions, CONGRATS!!!!

Over the past week, Spartan Wrestler, Naomi Gonzalez, competed in the NYWAY Girls State Championships at the Exposition Center - New York State Fairgrounds at Syracuse, NY, and earned 2nd place🥈 in her weight division.

A few days later, Naomi and senior Spartan Wrestler, Nyla Phillips, were honored at the 2023 Nassau County Wresting Awards Dinner after their performance in the inaugural NYSPHSAA Girls State Invitational Wrestling Tournament back in late January.

This was a huge accomplishment not just for Valley Stream North Wrestling but also to the girls wrestling community as a whole. Both Spartan wrestlers have built bridges with other girls wrestling within the local community including those from and have grown stronger in fine tuning their craft and expressing their love for wrestling.

Congratulations and best of luck for the upcoming competitions to come🤼‍♀️💚

Calling for all Valley Stream Spartans, Eagles, and Falcons for Spring Off-season Wrestling Training!!

Clinics will be held wrestling room every Monday and Wednesday from 5:00-6:30 PM and are available for all boys and girls student-athletes (Grades 7-12) from the Valley Stream Central High School District (VSCHSD).

Learn the art of wrestling and other forms of grappling martial arts, no matter your experience on the mats.
