-WEEK TWO HEATS UP-

Week One was full of blowouts and close games. We're back this Friday for another episode of The Countywide Football Show talking football and much more.
This weeks "Player of The Week" is Bismarck junior quarterback Cayden Burch! Burch has been the leader for the Lions since taking over full-time at QB last September and hasn't stopped putting up awesome numbers and W's for Bismarck! Congratulations Cayden Burch!

Week Two has some classic matchups on hand and we cannot wait to talk about it. This week's "Game of The Week' is none other than "The Backyard Brawl" which includes Magnet Cove traveling over to Poyen! The Indians are looking for their first win over for the Panthers since 2020 while Magnet Cove looks to make it 6 in a row against Poyen!

Farm Bureau MVP for last week against Hampton is Amari Huell.

Amari caught 2 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown, recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown, had 2 tackles and 2 tackles for loss on defense, and returned an interception for a touchdown.

The main event of Hot Spring County is going down over at Beaver Stadium this Friday night! Top 5 matchup between Glen Rose and Bismarck!

A familiar face returns!

The Beavers come home for the first time this season Friday night to take on county rival Bismarck! These two programs are longtime opponents and no stranger to one another. Glen Rose and Bismarck have played 46 times between 1972 to 2025, making Friday night's matchup the 47th game. Glen Rose owns the all-time record at 26-20. The longest winning streak between the two was Glen Rose winning 9 in a row between 84'-92'. Bismarck though has won 2 in row against Glen Rose, with the last victory against Bismarck coming in 2023.

Glen Rose was able to complete a 30-28 comeback win against Dewitt last Friday night. The Beavers are now 3-0 all-time against the Dragons! Bismarck gave Haskell Harmony Grove a 49-14 beating last Friday. The Beavers and Lions come into this game both ranked inside the Top 5 of Hooten's Arkansas Football's Class 3A Rankings! It is the highest ranked matchup in the long and storied history of this series.

2026 home opener will be a good one! Get out to the best Stadium in 3A and help cheer the Beavers to victory!
