Give me the kid that cares. Every single time. 🥎

Give me the kid who cares enough to want to be better.

The one who gets frustrated after an error because they expect more from themselves. The one who may get emotional, maybe even shed tears… but still listens.

Because let’s be clear — errors happen. Bad games happen. Tough weekends happen. No athlete is perfect.

And no, I’m not saying overreact. I’m not saying throw a fit, shut down, or let one mistake define the whole game.

But I also don’t want the kid who just shrugs it off like it never mattered.

I’ll take the kid who feels it.

The kid who cares enough to be upset, but still chooses growth over attitude.

The kid who can be corrected without shutting down.
The kid who can be challenged without giving up.
The kid who can hear hard truth, make an adjustment, and come back swinging.

Because coachability matters.

Not because coaches expect perfection — but because attitude in the hard moments says everything.

Can they own the mistake without letting it own them?

Can they feel disappointment and still move forward?

Can they turn emotion into motivation?

Because someday talent starts to even out. Hard work becomes expected.

And what’s left?

Character. Resilience. Coachability. Heart.

And you can teach mechanics. You can teach skills.

But you can’t teach a kid to care. 💜💛🥎

The Women’s College World Series is one of the greatest classrooms in softball if you’re willing to pay attention.

Don’t just watch the home runs. Watch how these women carry themselves when the lights get stupid bright. Watch the body language after a strikeout. Watch the way they attack the next pitch after an error. Watch how they respond when 12,000 people are losing their minds around them.

Anybody can celebrate success. The real lesson is hidden in the struggle.

Watch the pitcher who just gave up a bomb and still demands the ball back. Watch the hitter who punched out twice and still steps in the box believing she’s the baddest player on the field. Watch the teammate in the dugout who keeps bringing energy when her name isn’t being called.

That’s the stuff that gets you here.

The WCWS isn’t built on talent alone. It’s built on thousands of reps nobody saw. Early mornings. Empty cages. Missed parties. Sore bodies. Failure after failure after failure until eventually the game starts giving something back.

So if you’re sitting in those stands dreaming about being on that field one day, don’t just be a fan.

Study them.

Steal their habits. Their toughness. Their resilience. Their confidence. Their swagger.

Because if you want to stand on that field one day, understand this:

The hard work isn’t over when you get there.

The hard work is what gets you there.

And girl… every second of the grind is worth it when your cleats finally hit that dirt 🩷

GRit ended our season with a WIN! 🥎💪

This season brought so much growth, learning, and development for these girls, and we could not be more proud of how far they’ve come. Watching their confidence, teamwork, and love for the game grow has us even more excited for what’s ahead!

Now it’s time to put in the work for next season… and we’re coming for those rings! 💍🔥

A huge thank you to our pick-up players and all of the parents who supported us along the way. From shuffling schedules, getting the girls to every practice and game, cheering them on, and putting in the extra work behind the scenes — we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

The future is bright with these girls! ❤️🥎
