The Science: Mild dehydration β€” even at 1-2% β€” reduces cognitive performance and increases perceived effort. For a healthcare worker, that means slower decisions and faster mental fatigue. Water before your shift is brain fuel, not just fluid replacement.
Dehydrated brain = slower decisions.
The Science: Your brain is 75% water. When you’re running between patients without drinking, reaction time drops and emotional regulation weakens β€” meaning you snap faster at your kids when you get home.
It’s not just water β€” it’s your first clinical decision of the day.

My experience at Malvern hand and stone is truly incredible. The owners pour their heart and soul into the services and it shows! The staff is very easy to work with and so accommodating! Additionally, Scotty is a truly incredible massage therapist his understanding of the human body is boundless. I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for a relaxing massage, an escape, or for physical and mental healing.

What’s good fam just checking so you all know I am still hitting it! These past few months I have focused a lot on where I want my career to go and has led me to taking online classes to apply to a program to become an advance practice clinician. So I have had a lot less time to post! What this has shone me is that you can still have a busy life and find time to exercise and keep your mental and physical fortitude at its best!
