Entering my new gym ✨ ERA ✨. It’s been a while since I’ve given an update on myself and my gym progress. And what I’m doing is a first for me! 😱

I signed up for a 10k in February 2025.
And I started a new lifting/cardio combo program.

The 10k and the drive to improve my aerobic capacity are taking front and center stage which means for eh first time in my gym life, I’m going to do more cardio than weightlifting.

Say what!?!??!

This is a massive change up from what I usually do and it’s because my fitness performance goals have changed. Yes, I’ll still be lifting and will still try to increase weight and increase time under tension, and but hitting weight PRs won’t be my main focus.

Cardio focused training isn’t new for me as a coach, but it is new for my personally and even though I’ve taught cardio focused classes nearly 7 days a week, building my aerobic capacity has never been the main goal.

I’m excited to switch this up and happy for this new era in my fitness life. 💖

It’s Birth Trauma Awareness Week and I have some thoughts. My daughter’s birth was traumatic. She was healthy and happy. But I was neither of those things.

1.5 years later, I’m still working through the trauma and the fallout from it.

If I could go back, here’s what I would tell pregnant Tyler.

💖 listen to your gut, the minute that hospital or provider gives you the ick - leave
💖 take your doula’s advice when she suggests you switch providers
💖 that baby won’t come in 20 minutes. Drive to a more baby friendly hospital.
💖 when the office you’re going to is chaotic and unprofessional that’s a red flag
💖 visit several OBs to get the right fit because you are interviewing them to do a job for the most important day of your life
💖 you can fire your provider after arriving at the hospital. If this is a necessary step, do it.
💖 if the provider nor the hospital are up to date on research - RUN!

If you’ve also experienced birth trauma, I see you.

And you are the best mama for your baby. 💕

We spent last week in Missoula and one if the highlights was getting to meet .and.shine.with.lizzie and take an UPLIFT class with her! 🤩🩵🏁

This was my first time taking an UPLIFT class in person. UPLIFT is such a fun format and the playlist is out of this world. Every single song that comes on makes you go “ OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!” 😍

Lizzie’s class was fantastic. I can’t wait to bring UPLIFT to Great Falls!

MUSCLE MOMMIES ANNOUCEMENT!

I hope your weekend is going well so far. This is just a little quick email to let you know that I made a schedule snaffoo on my end. Muscle Mommy Mondays will not start on June 16. The first Muscle Mommy Monday class will be on Monday June 24th. I apologize for any confusion. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Summer schedule is here!!! ☀️ Here’s a break down of each class 👇🏻

💪🏻 Muscle Mommies - Muscle Mommies will use body weight exercises and stretches as well as light equipment to facilitate movement. We will work on rebuilding our postpartum strength and connecting to our pelvic floor all while bonding with our little. No previous workout experience is required. Please make sure you’ve been cleared by your medical professional prior to working out.

Babies and toddlers from ages 6 weeks to 2 years are welcome. Little ones will be worn by mama for a majority of the class. Mamas must bring their own carrier. You can wear any type of carrier or sling you’d like as long as you’re able to care for and support your baby.

🥁 Zumbini - A mommy and me magic class for kids 0-4 years old. Created by Zumba, Zumbini is an early childhood education program that uses original music and movement to promote cognitive, social, fine/gross motor skill, and emotional development while creating the ultimate bonding experience for families.

In each class, we will sing, dance, and play instruments!

In my muscle mommy era. 💪🏻 Muscle Mommy Mondays are coming to Malmstrom starting this summer!

Functional fitness for the baby wearing mama. 👶
This 40 minute functional exercise class is taught by a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, a Pre and Postnatal Coach, Pelvic Floor Exercise Specialist, and an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor. I’m also a mom who’s one and a half years postpartum.

Babies and toddlers from ages 6 weeks to 2 years are welcome. Little ones will be worn by mama for a majority of the class. Mamas must bring their own carrier. You can wear any type of carrier or sling you’d like as long as you’re able to care for and support your baby.

Each little one must have their own adult. For mamas of multiples, you’re welcome to bring a friend or partner.

Muscle Mommies will use body weight exercises and stretches as well as light equipment to facilitate movement. We will work on rebuilding our postpartum strength and connecting to our pelvic floor all while bonding with our little. No previous workout experience is required. Please make sure you’ve been cleared by your medical professional prior to working out.

Muscle Mommies will meet on Monday mornings at Sun Plaza Park at Malmstrom AFB!
