Entering my new gym ✨ ERA ✨. It’s been a while since I’ve given an update on myself and my gym progress. And what I’m doing is a first for me! 😱
I signed up for a 10k in February 2025.
And I started a new lifting/cardio combo program.
The 10k and the drive to improve my aerobic capacity are taking front and center stage which means for eh first time in my gym life, I’m going to do more cardio than weightlifting.
Say what!?!??!
This is a massive change up from what I usually do and it’s because my fitness performance goals have changed. Yes, I’ll still be lifting and will still try to increase weight and increase time under tension, and but hitting weight PRs won’t be my main focus.
Cardio focused training isn’t new for me as a coach, but it is new for my personally and even though I’ve taught cardio focused classes nearly 7 days a week, building my aerobic capacity has never been the main goal.
I’m excited to switch this up and happy for this new era in my fitness life. 💖
