It was a honor to run the back half of 71 mile journey through the Santa Monica Mountains last night. As impressed as I was with Dave’s performance I was equally humbled by his family that was there at every check point and there at midnight when we completed the run. Hearing those horns honk and the “yeww’s” as they saw headlamps coming down the mountain still gives me goosebumps. So does that mountain lion we came across but that’s a story for another time.
