All Scholastic players should check this out! Have you ever been to a National tournament before? It's the coolest thing since en passant. And the Grade Nationals in Orlando (in December) sounds like a great time to me. Join us at the tourney!

US Chess is excited to announce that registration and hotel reservations are now open for the 2026 US Chess National Grade K through 12 Championships in Orlando, Florida.

National Puzzle Solving Championship Returns

The National Puzzle Solving Championship is returning in partnership with ChessKid. The championship will feature two sections, K through 6 and 7 through 12, with prizes awarded to the top solvers in each section.

Discounted Universal Studios Tickets

Planning to make a vacation out of your trip to Orlando? US Chess has partnered with Universal Studios to offer discounted park tickets to championship participants and families. Discounted passes are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

What a great turnout today at The Princeton Public Library Chess Club! Beginners and veterans alike studied the puzzle, young players and older matched wits over the boards, and friendships were forged in the process of sharing skills. What a phenomenal way to spend a summer evening; thanks for playing, y'all!

Chess at The Daily Grind Specialty Cafe was a heck of a lot of fun tonight. Ron and I swapped chess set stories while Enrique and Roland build towers. The chess was mediocre... Friendly... Adventurous at times, even.
