ITS OFFICIAL… for the first time in PTDC History… we have a Guinness World Book of Records record holder. Josie broke the record for the MOST TAP DANCE PULLBACKS IN ONE MINUTE. It’s been documented and she broke the record by doing 139 tap dance pullbacks in a minute. Congratulations Josie… so happy Mayor Christensen was available to present the award and all her team mates were there to witness it.

Today marks the beginning of my 50th year teaching dance, and it still amazes me how quickly the time has passed. I have been blessed with a lifetime of memories—each one given to me by the students who trusted me, challenged me, and grew with me.

To those who were with me in my very first year, dancing at the Brooks Street studio in East Boston in 1976–77 on Saturdays… do you remember it? I would love to hear from you and what you remember. I remember My mom standing at the top of those five little stairs in the back of the room, watching every class, critiquing every detail, determined to help me become the best teacher I could be. Her belief in me shaped everything that followed.

Over the years, I’ve tried to give my students more than technique. I’ve tried to give them discipline, resilience, confidence, and strength—qualities that matter far beyond the studio. I hope my current dancers know that every correction, every push, every opportunity comes from experience and from wanting the very best for them, no matter what path they choose.

I've learned to appreciate these thoughts-
NEVER LET ANYONE DULL YOUR SPARKLE.

LIFE ISN'T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS, IT'S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN.

Keep striving, keep growing, and keep dancing through life.
