Lahaina…. Only two pictures I have in my phone. From Mauka to Makai, almost everything that was between these two pics is gone. Heavy heart for.all of those who were affected. Holding back tears talking to a friend Hugo who lost everything besides his and his family’s lives. House, shop, Koa canoe he was restoring, everything… Tears in my eyes hearing the story of the horror they passed by as they made it out just in time, with half the family retreating to the water to escape the fire. I can’t imagine what people there are going through. From what I hear, Maui Food Bank is a good place to donate, but if you know a family in need, send it direct if possible. If you don’t, and want to send something to Hugo and his family, DM me and I can get you their address(staying at a friends in Wailuku) Going to be raffling off a custom board to donate proceeds to him and his family as well. Do what you can for our Ohana in Lahaina. He wa’a he Honua, he Honua he wa’a.
