Congratulations to our Wichita Surf players who have earned the opportunity to advance to the National Surf Select tryouts in San Diego this February!

These 13 players represented Wichita at the Surf Select Midwest tryouts and now have the chance to take the next step and compete alongside players from across Surf Nation. We’re proud to see Wichita Surf represented across multiple age groups and excited for each of these players to experience this opportunity.

WELCOME TO WICHITA SURF, COACH JON MILLER!

We are excited to welcome Jon Miller to the Wichita Surf family for the 2026–2027 season!
A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Coach Jon brings more than 20 years of experience coaching girls' soccer. In 2014, he founded a youth soccer club from the ground up in Nebraska, creating a program that continues to thrive today.

As both a coach and father of three daughters, Coach Jon believes soccer is about much more than the final score. He is passionate about developing players who compete with confidence, show great sportsmanship, and never give up. His goal is to create a fun, competitive environment where players learn teamwork, set goals, overcome challenges, think creatively, and build friendships that last well beyond the game.

Coach Jon's commitment to developing both players and people makes him a tremendous addition to the Wichita Surf family. Please join us in welcoming Coach Jon to Wichita Surf!

WELCOME TO WICHITA SURF, COACH CIANA "CICI" TOVAR!

We are excited to welcome Ciana "Cici" Tovar to the Wichita Surf family as the Assistant Coach for our Academy 14/15G team for the 2026–2027 season.

Coach Cici brings four years of coaching experience and 16 years as a competitive player, competing throughout the Midwest in tournaments across Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Las Vegas. A four-year varsity player, she chose to pursue her passion for coaching and personal training, where she now focuses on helping athletes reach their full potential.

Coach Cici is passionate about creating a positive, competitive environment where players can build confidence, develop their skills, and grow their love for the game. We are excited to have her energy and dedication as part of the Wichita Surf coaching staff.

Surf Select Midwest tryouts are in the books! Three sessions in triple-digit heat, with players giving everything they had for a chance to earn a spot on the Surf Select team.

It was incredible to see players from Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Minnesota all competing together. This is exactly why joining Surf Nation was the right move for our club. The opportunities available to our players continue to grow, and this was our first experience with Surf Select.

We're proud of every Wichita Surf player who represented our club this weekend, both the boys and girls left it all on the field. Team selections are expected in the next couple of weeks, and we can't wait to see the results!

What a weekend to help get our athletes ready for the fall season! Athletes from seven Wichita Surf teams took on the heat to compete in the Wichita 5v5 Tournament, and we're proud of every player who stepped on the field!

15/16B Elite Black battled hard all weekend and represented Surf with grit and determination.

Wins are great, but what stood out most was the effort, teamwork, and resilience every team showed despite the summer heat. Thanks to all of our players, coaches, and families for another great weekend representing Wichita Surf.
