Well Maines expanded archery season has been open for a week. I have seen 5 deer, three have been bucks, one nice 8 point that I missed. Also our fall turkey season is also open. Next week I am headed to KY to hunt for a week stoping by to hunt PA archery opener and returning to Maine. Hopefully my shooting improves and I got some stories to tell and pics to share. What a morning! Left work at 04:45 got to my spot a lil after 5. Walking in I heard two different groups of gobblers from roost. Got set and waited until I was sure they were on the ground. Some soft yelps and my morning began in a short time i saw A big bird ge ruffled up gobbled and i cut right in on him. Apparently he liked what i said he basically ran to me and circled around behind me. I was able to use the terrain to move with him at 19 yards the ole re*****on made short work of my heaviest bird to date 22.6 pounds 9 3/4 inch beard and 1 inch spurs. 05:20 i let things settle down and started working another bird which came into 30 yards to thick to shoot finally he turned and walked back out but by then several more birds were fired up. Long story short after moving my set up on these birds at 30 yards I tagged out at 06:30 with number two 18.6 pounds 9 1/2 in beard and 1 inch spurs. Beautiful morning great hunt have both birds cleaned tail stretched for mounts with beards, a wing for fly down scenario, bones for 4 more wing bone calls and spurs for my personal collection. I worked 12 hours hunted for 2 the only thing left is drink a cold beer take a hot shower and I am out.

Well its been awhile. Very busy and life happens. That being said you can count on me being in the woods May 4th decked out in true timber camo, rocking my natures voice game calls the jungle turk slate, chestnut witch box call and many mouth calls personal favorite currently being the fan out. This year I have a new to hunting partner, some friends I normally help out and my two tags! I cant wait to post pictures of my adventures. Its your one life live it!
