Finally Racing

It’s an honor to be in this photo with some of the best 305 drivers in the region at Bridgeport Speedway with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series. Thank you Erika Wagner, Eddie Wagner, and Doug Rose for putting on a fair and well run show and a great track to race on.

The 48G timed in 13th quick and with the invert, that put us starting outside poll of the heat race. After some games by the pole sitter on the initial start, we didn’t let them get away with it again on the restart. We drove away to a convincing victory which put us in the redraw for the feature.

We redrew the 3rd starting position for the 50-lap Ron Faison Memorial race. After some bad decisions behind the wheel, we fell back to 10th.

During the fuel stop, we made some adjustments to improve the car and the driver got his head back on straight. We then drove up to finish 7th.

After some morning maintenance, we are at Bedford Speedway tonight with the great racers of the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series.

It has been fun to race with old friends, see family and friends at these track and be fast each time we are on track. Hoping to continue with the good runs tonight!

We had an absolute BLAST at Bridgeport Speedway with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series.

6th quickest in hotlaps
2nd quick in qualifying
6th to 4th in the heat
Redrew 4 for the feature a fell back to 7th. I didn’t make enough changes and was too loose. It was a great learning night and felt awesome to have speed right out of the box.

Thank you very much Eric for busting butt all night. Thanks to Tad Cox for some insight of what you saw on track. Thanks to my dad for pushing me around all night on the 4-wheeler.

We are having a great time racing with old buddies from MASS as well as our Carolina Sprint Tour friends in the DRT '15' Racing team. Thank you to Cari Mueller from Veterans for the Win for hanging out and lending a helping hand when needed!

Gonna wash up in the morning, do parking lot maintenance and try it all over again tomorrow for $4,000 to win!

We are racing at Bridgeport Speedway this Friday and Saturday with the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series! Saturday’s race pays a whopping $4,000 to win!

We are planning to finish the weekend off at Bedford Speedway with the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series for $1,880 to win!

Outstanding job last night by the entire 48G team with the Carolina Sprint Tour at Carolina Speedway.

The car shut off unexpectedly on the 2nd lap of hotlaps.

We were nervous at first as a series official said there was water coming out of the head gasket. After investigating for a while, we couldn’t find anything wrong mechanically with the engine, and being on the phone with our engine builder Scott Baylor, we made the decision to change the magneto and switch. After great ex*****on and team work, we fired the car off and had no issues.

We started and finished 5th in a stout heat race which placed us starting 10th in the feature. After discussions within our team, we decided to use the night as a night of learning. We threw some new ideas at the car we normally wouldn’t have just to try to build our notebook. The car was great, driving from 10th to an eventual 3rd place finish. We were able to pick up the Metal Supermarkets Hard Charger award and an Open Wheel Titanium seat bolt kit, thanks to Tyler Brehm.

Last night is what the long season grind are all about. Not giving up and working through all issues with no quit. This team of Max Hautaniemi, Justin Glass, Eric Bonham and Kenneth W. Loux shows grit, determination and attention to detail every night at the track.

Our next race will be at Beckley Motor Speedway Saturday, August 15th.
