Mitchell and first opened in 1959 as Putnam Country Club. Mitchell used the natural landscape of the property in his design resulting in rolling fairways and dramatic elevation changes. The Club remained private for many years throughout a variety of ownership changes and was eventually renamed The Country Club at Lake MacGregor for the lake adjacent to the property. g property was purchased by Putnam County in 2004 becoming the first municipally owned golf course of the county. The natural scenic beauty of the property coupled with a challenging 18 hole championship golf course has made Putnam County Golf Course a popular venue for area golfers. Calling all Knicks Fans! 🏀 Our friends at the Westchester County Center, home of the Westchester Knicks, will welcome basketball fans for NBA Finals watch parties, as the New York Knicks continue their historic quest for a championship against the San Antonio Spurs in Games Three and Four of the series.

⛳ Play a Round. Grab a Bite. Stay Awhile. 🍽️ Yesterday, someone asked us if you have to play golf to dine at MacGregor Public House. Golfers and non-golfers are always welcome at MacGregor Public House (MPH).

Of course, we'd love to see you out on the course, but you don't need a tee time to enjoy everything MPH has to offer. Whether you're squeezing in a morning meeting, meeting friends for lunch, taking a break from the office, or relaxing after a round, everyone is welcome.

The weather is beautiful, the golf course is in great shape, and MPH is open.
