At Mana Honu Wellness, we provide a personalized approach to strength and mental wellness. Welcome to Mana Honu Wellness!

We will support and guide you in achieving balance through individualized coaching and evidence-based practices, helping you thrive! Here is a little history on how Mana Honu Wellness got it's name! "Mana," which means power and strength that may come in many forms, and "Honu," (represented by the sea turtle, which is known for it's tranquil presence in the ocean), which means good luck, endurance

and long life. Here at Mana Honu Wellness, our values are rooted in achieving a balance between strength and tranquility, through all aspects of life. We provide accountability coaching, fitness programming, a mental wellness Signature Program, "From Meek to Magnificent - Embracing Your Inner Wonderful," as well as the ability to host your own Zumba party! Our future offerings will include signature programs on fitness and wellness in each stage of pregnancy from prenatal through postpartum! As an RN of over 20 years, with dual degrees in Exercise Physiology and Nursing, I bring the expertise and knowledge needed to facilitate necessary learning during any stage of life! As a Certified Functional Strength Coach, I will provide you with the necessary training to live a long, healthy and FUNCTIONAL life! As a Certified ProNatal Fitness Specialist, I will guide you to find your inner and outer strength, to make childbirth and recovery as smooth and straightforward as possible! ✨💛 WONDER WOMAN WEDNESDAY: Anna Silbaugh 💛✨

Some women redefine what strength looks like.
Some women rewrite the rules.
And then there’s Anna — the true meaning of grit, beauty, brains, and unshakable resilience wrapped into one extraordinary human.

We met years ago at Children’s National Medical Center, two NICU employees doing the work, learning, growing, and navigating the chaos side by side. Time passed, life shifted, and miles stretched between us, but the connection never disappeared. Anna is one of those rare people who stays present in your world, even from afar, simply by the way she lives and leads.

And watching her journey has been nothing short of awe‑inspiring.

Anna became a mom, a wife, a firefighter, a strongwoman competitor (and winner), and a fierce lover of dogs. Every chapter she steps into, she steps into with her whole heart. But what amazes me most is her tenacity. When life knocked her down with injuries, she didn’t just get back up — she came back stronger, every single time. She is the definition of perseverance.

And then there’s Ruby.
The way Anna loves her daughter is powerful. She is raising a young girl who already carries that same “I can do anything” spark. Ruby is growing up with a front‑row seat to what strength, kindness, and determination look like in real time. That’s a gift not every child gets.

Anna, you inspire more people than you know.
You lead with courage.
You rise with purpose.
You love with intention.
And you show the world what it means to be both soft and strong.

✨ Wonder Woman Wednesday: Christie Jones ✨

Some women love their children.

Christie Jones lives for hers — in a way that feels almost mythic, like her heart was built with extra chambers just to hold them all. The way she shows up for her kids is something I’ve never seen anyone do with such consistency, devotion, and fire. It’s not performative. It’s not for applause. It’s simply who she is.

And then there’s the dancing.

I met Christie in Zumba, where she walked in with that amazing smile — the kind that hits you before she even says a word — and then she opened her mouth and said the most iconic thing a person can say in a dance class:

“Daunce.”
Not dance.
Daunce.
A whole personality trait. A whole vibe. A whole mood.

Christie doesn’t just move to music; she becomes it. She’s the kind of woman who makes you want to move your body even when you swore you were tired. The kind of woman who turns a room electric just by showing up.

But what I admire most?
She is invested in herself.
Not in a loud, look‑at‑me way — but in the quiet, powerful way that says: “I matter too.”

She pours into her kids, her life, her people… and she still finds a way to pour into Christie. That’s Wonder Woman energy. That’s generational‑shift energy. That’s the kind of woman who inspires everyone around her without even trying.

✨💛 WONDER WOMAN WEDNESDAY: Daisy Pawlowski 💛✨

Daisy is the kind of woman you meet once — sweaty, breathless, mid‑WOD at CrossFit — and instantly know she’s built from something rare. Strength, grit, humor, heart… all wrapped in electric energy and the biggest sunglasses you’ve ever seen.

From the very beginning, we were just two women trying to get stronger. But watching Daisy’s journey since then has been nothing short of awe‑inspiring.

She’s a mom, a bonus mom, a pet mom, and a super‑wife who somehow manages to pour love into every corner of her life. And professionally? She has climbed the achievement mountain with unstoppable determination — RN ➜ NP ➜ owner of her own holistic wellness practice, where she’s helped hundreds of people transform their health and reclaim their lives.

That’s not luck.
That’s Daisy.
A woman who sees a peak and says, “I can go higher.”

And she will. I have zero doubt she’ll keep climbing until she reaches every summit she sets her sights on.

In her “spare” time (if that even exists), she and her husband are busy turning their house into a home — one renovation, one project, one vision at a time. Because Daisy doesn’t just build strength… she builds beauty, comfort, and possibility everywhere she goes.

✨ Wonder Woman Wednesday: Jessica Schlegel✨

Some women walk into a room.
Jessica arrives — in full costume, with hips that could out‑shake Shakira (Shakira, sweetie… I’m so sorry. Jessica wins,) and a smile that could power an entire Comic Con.

Jessica is a lover of dressing up — and not in the casual “I have a few costumes” way. No. This woman has every costume imaginable. Superheroes, villains, princesses, pirates, mythical creatures, probably a few characters the rest of us haven’t even unlocked yet. And the best part? Her three beautiful, spunky girls love to dress up right alongside her. It’s a whole family of sparkle, imagination, and unapologetic fun.

She’s also a Zumba prodigy — the kind of dancer who makes you question your own rhythm. When I became an instructor, she took time out of her already packed life to teach me how to cue (which, let’s be honest, is one of the hardest parts of Zumba). She was patient, encouraging, and steady… like a saint with rhythm.

She’s a book lover, a Comic Con goer, and a woman who speaks multiple languages, including ASL — which absolutely blows me away. The intelligence, the creativity, the dedication… it’s all there, woven into everything she does.

And let’s not skip over the hair.
THE hair.
The kind of hair that makes you question your own genetics. I am, without shame, jealous.

Jessica is a mom, a creator, a dancer, a teacher, a multilingual queen, a walking costume closet, and a woman who somehow accomplishes more in a day than most people do in a week. I am simply in awe of her.

And honestly… as you can see in the picture…
I have never seen her and Wonder Woman in the same room at the same time.
Hmmm. Interesting. Very interesting.

✨ Wonder Woman Wednesday: Jessy Marsh ✨

Some women shine quietly, consistently, and without ever needing a spotlight — and this week, we’re celebrating one of them: Jessy Marsh.

Jessy is the definition of a woman who lifts other women. A supporter of all women, a mommy extraordinaire, and a wife supreme — she pours love, strength, and intention into every role she holds.

And the best part? I met her in my pajamas… at a CrossFit party… because of course I did. From that moment on, she’s been someone I admire deeply — even from afar.

Jessy moved South (and yes, I’m jealous), but distance hasn’t dimmed the way she shows up in the world. From starting businesses, to building communities that uplift women, to teaching her daughter what empowered living looks like… she does it all with heart, grit, and grace.

People don’t always get the chance to say the things that matter without it feeling weird — but I’m saying it anyway: I am so proud of her. Even though we barely know each other, I see her. The world sees her. And she is absolutely amazing.

Here’s to you, Jessy — a Wonder Woman in every sense.

🌳 Fun Fact: Trees talk to each other using an underground “wood‑wide web.” Through a network of fungi attached to their roots, trees send nutrients, chemical signals, distress warnings and even support to weaker or younger trees!

If one tree is attacked by insects, it sends chemical messages through the fungal network to warn the others so they can boost their defenses. Mother trees even funnel extra nutrients to their saplings. It’s basically the forest version of “Girl, something’s wrong — brace yourself.”

Nature built group chats before humans ever did.

✨ Wonder Woman Wednesday: Miellyn Fitzwater Barrows ✨

Today’s Wonder Woman Wednesday goes out to someone whose brilliance has never dimmed — even when life took us down totally different hallways in high school.

Miellyn was one of those rare people who didn’t have to try to be memorable — she just was. Even back then, when our worlds didn’t always overlap, I still considered her one of my best friends and one of my favorite humans walking around that school. There was just something about her energy — warm, witty, wildly imaginative — that made you feel lucky to be in her orbit.

And that creativity? It didn’t just stick around… it exploded into a career that is honestly awe‑inspiring.

This woman has:

Built a life around creative writing

Produced content across multiple industries

Crafted stories for video games (which is just ridiculously cool)

Owned and operated multiple businesses

Reinvented herself again and again with that signature Miellyn magic

She is, without exaggeration, one of the most remarkable people I know.

And then there’s her son — truly one of the coolest kids ever. Watching him grow up through her posts has been a joy all its own. You can see her spark in him, that same mix of curiosity and creativity that makes the world feel bigger.

Her husband — who I’ve never met but feel like I know through the way she shares their life — seems like the perfect match for her. The kind of partnership that feels aligned, supportive, and earned through years of choosing each other. She deserves that kind of love a million times over.

Miellyn, I miss the days when catching up didn’t require calendars and time zones and adulting. I hope our paths cross again soon, because you’ve always been someone I’ve held close, even from afar.

🪼 Fun Fact!!! There’s a species of jellyfish that can age in reverse…like a biological “nope, I’m not doing adulthood today.”

It’s called Turritopsis dohrnii, and when it gets stressed, injured, or just generally over life’s nonsense, it reverts its cells back to a younger state and starts over. Basically the Benjamin Button of the ocean — but slimier.

Scientists literally call it “the immortal jellyfish.”

✨💛 Wonder Woman Wednesday: Angelica Mendoza💛✨

Some people walk into your life at exactly the right moment… and Angelica is one of those rare souls who feels both younger and wiser than you at the same time. Old enough to be her mom, but she’s mature enough to be a true friend — kinda weird, kinda wonderful, and absolutely perfect.

Angelica is the kind of woman who loves with her whole heart.
She loves dogs — not just in the “aww, cute puppy” way, but in the deeply intuitive, wildly talented, “I can train this dog to be its best self” way. Watching her work with animals is like watching someone speak a language the rest of us only half understand.

And kids?
She adores them.
She shows up for them.
She’s responsible, grounded, and steady in a way that makes everyone around her feel safe.

Angelica is the friend who is always there — the one who answers the phone, makes the time, remembers the details, and shows up with her whole heart. Even now that she lives all the way out in Colorado, she still finds a way to stay connected. She makes time to see us when she’s in town, and she gives me the perfect excuse to hop on a plane and visit the mountains. Honestly… win‑win.

She’s loyal.
