Sandy Valley Youth Wrestling Club Creating future champions and a dominant wrestling program at Sandy Valley. We will promote good sportsmanship, dedication, hard work, honesty, and truth.

The Sandy Valley Youth Wrestling Club exists to support and promote the sport of wrestling. We the officials, coaches, staff, parents, and members of the organization will conduct ourselves in such a manner as to bring credit to Sandy Valley and the great sport of wrestling. We will do our best to provide a stable and supportive environment for the young wrestlers. We will support only the highest

standards of ethical behavior in sports and will expect others to do the same. We will work our hardest to win, but we will not compromise our beliefs or ethics to win.

Today marks the official end to the 25/26 wrestling season with OAC State.

Huge congratulations to Brogan Simmons on qualifying for the state tournament and getting himself a pin for a win there. What a truly amazing first year!!

And congratulations to Roman Essig for making First Team All Ohio this season. Hard work pays off.

Several of our youth wrestlers have decided to keep grinding for wins in the post season. Yesterday in Strongsville Emma Thornton got herself 2nd place and Weston Procario came in 3rd. Way to go cards!!

Today Brogan Simmons competed at his first district qualifier and punched his ticket to OAC State!! We’ll see him in Youngstown at the end of March. What a great 1st season!

It was a busy weekend for SV Youth Wrestling. In addition to districts, several of our wrestlers went traveling for wins.

Emma Thornton went to WV to the Mt State Melee and placed 1st in their girls division and 3rd in the boys division, getting herself a plaque and trophy!

Weston Procario went to Penn Quest in Sharon, PA and placed 3rd!

And shoutout to Jax Arnold who traveled to Novice State in Toledo. He put up a good fight and plans to get back out there next year! Way to work in the post season guys!

Congratulations to Brogan Simmons who placed 6th at OYWA districts and will move onto the State tournament as an alternate. Brogan is a first year wrestler and has proven that hard work and determination do pay off. Congratulations on an amazing first season. We can’t wait to see what his wrestling future holds!

It was another successful weekend of wrestling for our youth cardinals.

Yesterday at the Fairless open Emma Thornton placed 1st and Weston Procario came in 3rd!

Roman Essig placed 1st at the Marietta open and Ryker Dauski placed 3rd!

Today at the Barnsville open Roman Essig snagged himself another 1st place and Emma Thornton came in 3rd. Way to go Cards!!
