Last weekend we raced the last round of the Houston Area RC Series at Mikes Gulf Coast RC Raceway. I had a super fun time racing novice.

I ended up getting 2nd place during my main and 1st place overall in novice for the series.

Last weekend we had a great week at Mikes Gulf Coast RC Raceway for the 9th round of the Houston Area RC Series!!
I had a great time racing novice and even got 1st place on the race.

On Friday I wasn’t able to go to practice because of school and baking for the bake sale I was having during HARC.

On Saturday I was able to make up the practice I missed during open practice and novice practice. During my 1st qualifier I did really well and ended up getting first place and hitting a lap of 35.15 which I was super happy about. In my 2nd qualifier I didn’t do well and ended up getting third, when I pulled my car off the track my tires were towed out, so I asked my dad for help to fix it and he was able to help me and get everything back to where it was suppose to be. On my 3rd qualifier I was only able to make it to my 5th lap where during my 6th the dog bone had popped out due to there being to much droop.Moving on to my main I was hoping I had everything fixed and that there’s was no underlying issue that was causing the problems I was having. I started the main in 2nd place and was able to move up to 1st place during my 2nd lap and was able to keep that place till the end of the race!

I want to thank everyone who bought from my bake sale I was having and everyone who helped me fix my car and show me how you fix the tow in the tires and the droop.

Last weekend, we had a super fun time at the 2nd round of the RC Pro Series held at Mikes Gulf Coast RC Raceway.
This year was my dad and I’s first year racing the RC Pro series, and we both had a lot of fun and we both are looking forward to the next time we get to race the series! For this race, I ran my Tekno RC 2.0 ebuggy in the novice class and did really well!

Since it’s summer break for me, I was finally able to go to a Friday practice and it helped a lot with finding out what I needed to work on with my car and what parts of the track I needed to focus on. During practice my car felt super loose on the turns and seemed like it was leaning more towards the right when driving. I explained what my car was doing to my dad, and he was able to help me find out what I needed to do to my steering.

On Saturday, it was qualifiers, and I did really good. In my first qualifier, I ended up getting fourth place and was really proud of myself but decided to change up some stuff. I changed out my tires because I felt I needed more grip, so I changed to a different set of tires my dad had said worked for him. He also said they would probably help me get that grip I needed on my turns. During qual 2, the tires my dad recommended helped me a lot with getting that grip I had been looking for during the previous round. During this qual, I ended up getting fourth place again. Even with that grip I had, I felt as if my steering was super loose and I kept getting into the dust on the track. On my 3rd qual, I asked my dad if we could use his headset so I could tell him what my car was feeling like while I was racing and so he could give me tips on things I could work on when it came to turns and jumps. With my dad’s help, I ended up in 5th place, which I was still happy about.

On Sunday, it was finally time for mains and my race was the first one up. I remembered all the advice my dad gave me the day before and used it during my race. My car felt better than it had the day before, and I was able to clear most of the jumps and get through the turns with little problems. I ended up finishing in 3rd place, which I was super happy about. It was super great hearing my track family and friends cheering for me during the race and congratulating me for my 3rd place win.

With my dad’s birthday this week and Father’s Day in two weeks, I wanted to thank my dad (Steven Tippit) for everything he’s helped me with when it comes to RC racing. My dad was the one who got me into RC racing, and I am so thankful for that. My dad is my biggest supporter when it comes to racing and is always there to cheer me on even when I don’t do my best. If it wasn’t for my dad, I don’t think I would have met all the amazing people I have in these past 2 years.

Last weekend, we had a fun time at the 2nd round of the Houston Area RC Series at Mikes Gulf Coast RC Raceway.

Before the race started, I got in as much practice as I could in pre-race practice and Novice practice, since I had not been able to make it to the Friday practice. During practice before the race, I made good laps and decided I would try the VP-Pro Gripz Evo tires to see how they would run and felt that they were a nice fit for the track, so I decided to stick with those for my first qualifier.

During qualifiying, I mostly kept everything the same as I had during practice and ran the VP PRO Gripz Evo tires through all 3 of my qualifiers. I had some good luck in my quals with my Tekno RC eb48 2.0. I took 2nd place in my first qual after a great battle for it with fellow driver, Danial Grabhill. For my 2nd qual, I didn’t have as good as a run and ended up in 6th after not being able to make up for a mistake I had made at the beginning of the qual. I also ended up a lap down from the person in front of me. Even though I didn’t have as good as a run, I still knew that there was still a chance for me to make up for it in the next qual. Going into my 3rd and final qualifier, I made sure to take a deep breath before I went on the stand and start that race not worrying about the past qualifier. I wanted to just focus on the qual I was racing. I held strong and held 5th place for my first few laps, but I was quickly able to make it up to the 3rd place. I finished this qual in 3rd place.

Moving into my main I felt I needed some extra stick to the track so I put some tire sauce on my tires before heading out , I was feeling good about my car and about my driving, but I didn’t end up having as much luck as I did during my quals. I started 3rd in the line up and quickly lost my place when the race started after a mechanical problem. My car began to LiPo, which caused me to come off the track a couple of times. I ended up pulling my car out of the race due to mechanical issues when there were only 30-seconds left in the race.
