Madrid Youth Baseball and Softball Program Expectations and Rules
First, we would like to thank everyone for being part of our program this year. The turnout was fantastic and we hope to see the numbers stay strong in the upcoming years!
The Town has asked us to remind families of the rules that we must follow while utilizing the park and the community building.
The community building is only open for bathroom use. We are fortunate that the town is allowing us to use the restrooms in the community building, with that said it is important that we respect this privilege and clean up after we use the restrooms. We ask that parents supervise their children entering the building to use the restrooms. If you happen to notice that something needs to be clean up or that others are missing using the area please inform Sammi Ibey or one of the coaches so the matter can be handled. The community building is not a hangout area, it should only be used for the restrooms.
We ask that all youth be supervised while at the park. We understand that kids will be utilizing the playground areas but we please ask that you keep a close eye on them. We have seen many kids running in the parking lot unattended and in and out of the community building. There can be lots of traffic during games and practices and we want to keep everyone safe. So please supervise your child at all times. We also ask that all pets are kept on a leash and with the owner at all times.
Drive Slowly! Please drive slowly while driving through the park. Kids can come out of nowhere so we ask everyone to be aware of their surroundings and to abide by the speed limit.
Our fields and recreational areas are a drug and tobacco-free zone! No Smoking or va**ng at any time. If you are seen smoking or va**ng you will be asked to stop. You will receive only one warning, then you will be asked to leave the Park.
We ask that everyone show respect to the visiting teams and their families. We ask for the same respect for the coaches and umpires. We are not playing at the professional level, mistakes will happen and we ask that everyone acts in a respectful manner at all times.
Thank you for your attention to this letter and we look forward to a fun and successful season for our children. Remember if you see something say something! Play Ball!
