Extremely proud of these 2 new kids!!

Dane’s been training a couple months now! He brings great energy & attitude to every session! We’ve been focusing on his balance, body control, & coordination! I love his progress & how we’ve been able to build & advance the drills from the previous week! Dane’s been Scoring Td’s & pulling flags for the Sweetwater super crickets!🙌

I’m particularly proud of Leahna!! She stepped out of her comfort zone & has been training with little sports background. I could tell she was uncomfortable & nervous the first couple sessions but she’s stuck with it, challenged herself & she’s coming along great! I’m most proud of the way her confidence is growing!🙌she works hard, pushes herself, & is less worried about messing up! I’m very excited for her!

Congratulations to Finlee Lyons, our Monroe County Student Athlete of the Week!

For Finlee, volleyball isn’t just a sport — it’s a lifestyle. If she isn’t playing for her school, she’s playing club volleyball, attending camps, or putting in the work to pursue her dream of playing at the next level.

But what really stood out this week wasn’t just her ability on the court.

Her coach described Finlee as “the rock” of the team — the player her teammates look to when things get tough. She’s a captain who leads by example, whether she’s making a play, encouraging a teammate, or simply staying after to help take down the net without ever being asked.

And she backed that leadership up with an incredible week:

🎯 0 serving errors
💥 8 attacks / 8 kills
🧱 3 blocks
🤝 11 assists

But one of the things that impressed us most happened off the court.

Finlee, who is naturally very shy, stepped completely outside of her comfort zone and volunteered to lead a Bible study. Even though she was visibly nervous, she stood in front of her peers and followed through — leading with grace, courage, and dignity.

That’s what being a Student Athlete is about.

It’s not only what you do when the scoreboard is on. It’s your character, leadership, work ethic, and the example you set when nobody is keeping stats.

Congratulations, Finlee! You’ve earned it! 🏆🏐

Shout out to Coach Fritts & the McMinn East Chargers⚡️volleyball team!! I’ve had such a great time training & getting to know the girls this last half of the summer! They were a blast! 😆 They put in some good work & hopefully had a lot of fun prepping for their season! Summer Highlights☀️

We had a great summer in the gym. A lot of kids put in a tremendous amount of work but I wanted to highlight a couple of my college/highschool guys that don’t always get as much recognition as they deserve…
My Sequoyah Hoopers Joshua & Riley put in an insane amount of work in the weight room this summer along with their speed/agility work! Riley was killin’ on AAU hoops circuit & still getting his workouts in… Joshua was coming 5 days a week some weeks😳 They’re both much stronger & athletic then they were when summer started & I can’t wait to see it show up on the court this year! Peyton Key is another high school hooper who’s much stronger & quicker after a solid summer of consistency getting ready for bball season at William Blount… Daylen Spradling wasn’t even cleared for full participation at the beginning of summer after ankle surgery at the end of last year… That didn’t stop him from putting on 20 pounds of muscle, is running, jumping, & getting his #’s up on all his lifts. He’s going back to Johnson Univ. a completely different kid! Tyler Oaks dominated his summer baseball league as usual & has been in the gym every single day before he heads back for his sophomore year at Western Carolina… T.Y., who’s always been one of my most consistent & hardest workers, says he feels the fastest & most explosive he’s ever been to start training camp for his Rs/sophomore year at Maryville College!

Proud of the summer these guys had & all the hard work they put in!!💪💪

These two have been killing it this summer!

I love the progress Jace is making.. He gets better every session! He’s good at taking correction & applying it. His balance & coordination have improved greatly over the summer!🙌

Caroline has been working really hard this summer between soccer & basketball practice to improve her speed… it’s been paying off not only in her speed but also her jumping & overall athleticism! Can’t wait to see how it helps her on the court & the field!!
