One year without you… a lot has happened and changed. I’m the luckiest guy in the world to call you my Grandy! You taught me so much and I wouldn’t be where I am without you. You blessed me with so many opportunities in life and more knowledge then most people gain in a life time. I strive everyday to make you proud. I make sure things are done how you would’ve wanted them and don’t let anyone forget without you we wouldn’t be where we are. You touched so many people across all walks of life. I hope when I grow up I can be half the man you were and be as successful as you. So many times I’ve wanted to call you when I couldn’t figure something out because I knew you could fix it or tell me how. I try to pass the same knowledge and wisdom on that you taught me. I love hearing all the stories about you from people. I wish I could’ve been around back in the day and been with you mining and racing. I’m so happy you were there to experience my first race win and I could win my first championship for you to see and hear all about it. Thank you for being the best Grandy I love and miss you so much! I know your up there digging that black gold living up to the Coal Digger name and in race heaven turning them win lights on and tweaking on them angels wings so they can go just a little faster! One day I’ll be up there with you and I look forward to the day we can line up next to each other and go down the strip for the first time. Until then it’s not goodbye it’s see you later.
