Honeymooners Bowling League Madison’s longest running LGBTQ+ friendly Bowling League We’re always recruiting new bowlers/teams.

Honeymooners is Madison’s longest running Gay/Gay friendly Bowling League, and is open to all members of the Madison and area Community - gay, straight, or otherwise. We’re an all-inclusive league, and pride ourselves on having a fun time bowling no matter what your walk of life or bowling skills. Bowling is held on Monday evenings at Village Lanes on Madison’s Near east side usually starting in early October, and runs for approximately 29 weeks.

Honeymooners has standings, placements, points and prize money, so there’s definitely some friendly competition. But everyone approaches it differently.

Our handicap system means you don’t have to be the best bowler in the league to have a chance to win. Want to compete? Great. Just here to bowl and socialize? That’s great too.

Honeymooners has a little bit of everything. We have bowlers who are still learning the basics, players who haven't bowled in years, and plenty of high scorers who know their way around the lanes.

You don't need a certain average or skill level to fit in. Whether you're here to improve your game or just have a good time, you'll find bowlers at all levels and plenty of friendly people to bowl alongside.

Reminder that our year end League Banquet is Monday April 20th at 7pm. It's at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes in the room off the bar area.

We'll have food and then give out league prizes and elect officers for next season.

Looking forward to seeing everyone then!

Tonight is our last night of bowling!

The winners from the first half of the year will face off against our second half champions for the overall league champion, with the other team being our runner up.

All remaining teams will just be bowling for fun tonight. As many players can bowl tonight as want to.

We'll be running a blind hi-low doubles tonight. You just bowl as normal. At the end of the night our league Secretary will add up the scores of the bowlers with the highest and lowest averages, do the same for the next highest and lowest, and so on. The top bowlers will be announced and awarded at our year end banquet!

Which as a reminder our banquet will be on April 20th, 7pm at Bowl a Vard Lanes. We'll have food, award prizes from this year, and run elections for next years officers. If you have any interest in running or any questions, please reach out.
