Lakewood Golf Course is an 18 hole par 72 course located in the upper Kennebec Valley on Route 201 in Madison, just outside of Skowhegan, Maine. Built in the early 1920’s as part of the Lakewood Colony summer resort the original nine has a classic links feel and a good balance between challenge and playability. The back nine, designed by Phil Wogan and completed in 1995, is a parkland course cut o

ut of the thick Maine woods. Our beautiful, meticulously maintained course combines well-designed holes, including Maine's only Par 6, with amazing scenery to give you a great golfing experience. Nestled amongst white pines and beautiful mountain views the 6,279 yards at Lakewood is challenging and welcoming to all golfers at any skill level. Within a short drive of many local attractions including white water rafting and the Lakewood Inn and Theater, one of the area’s finest golf courses is a wonderful place to spend a peaceful afternoon enjoying the natural beauty of Maine.

What a beautiful day! The trails are in great shape ❄️ As a reminder, if you are walking on the trails please use snowshoes and stick to the side of the groomed path so that there are not deep footprints for the skiers. Thanks, and hope everyone is enjoying the great snow! ❄️

What an immaculate morning at the cross-country trails at Lakewood Golf Course in Madison! We are SO grateful for The Jim Browne Foundation for getting out there last night to push out the trails for us. The snow is amazing!

Join us there next Tuesday the 3rd, Tuesday the 17th, or Tuesday the 24th for our free community cross-country ski!

Earlier tonight, Kevin took a break from grooming to check our snow totals... more than 15 inches now and still snowing!...
