Allllll of the feels 🥹

🥎❤️ Sometimes softball is about so much more than softball.

Today, while our Aftershock 2033 girls were enjoying some lunch between games, a complete stranger left us something that I don’t think any of us will ever forget.

A handwritten letter.

This woman and her husband had been watching our girls, noticed how much fun they were having, and felt compelled to share a little piece of her story with us.

She grew up playing softball, coached by her father, who passed away unexpectedly. She wrote about how some of her greatest memories were made on those softball fields and how she wished she could have those moments back.

Her message to our girls was simple. Soak up every second. Enjoy the game. Cherish the memories. And never take these moments for granted.

And to the parents, she thanked us for being there for our girls, reminding us that while they may not fully appreciate it today, one day they absolutely will. ❤️

To the wonderful woman who took the time to write this, THANK YOU. I genuinely hope this post somehow finds its way to you and that it’s okay that we shared this. But honestly, kindness like this needs to be shared because the world needs more people like YOU. You are incredible!

You have no idea how much your words meant to us. In a sport where it’s so easy to get caught up in wins, losses, rankings, and competition, you gave us a beautiful reminder of what really matters the most.

We don’t know your name, but we won’t forget your kindness.

And I promise you, we’ll keep making those memories. 💙🖤⚡

Talent matters. Skill matters. Winning matters.

But none of it works without learning how to be a great teammate.

Travel softball will challenge athletes in a lot of ways. Playing time changes. Roles change. Teammates compete for the same positions. Someone else gets the big hit, the start, the praise, or the opportunity you wanted.

How an athlete responds to those moments says a lot about the teammate and person they are becoming.

We want Aftershock athletes to compete hard, support each other, communicate with respect, stay engaged regardless of their role, and understand that another teammate’s success does not take anything away from their own journey.

You do not have to be best friends with everyone in the dugout.

You do have to be a great teammate.

These are 7 lessons worth teaching early. ⚡🥎

Great job to the coaches for getting them prepared and to the girls for competing hard! 💪

We are so incredibly proud of our Aftershock girls! This weekend marked our very first kid pitch tournament, and these girls showed up ready to compete!

They finished the day 3-1, with their only loss coming in an absolute nail-biter in the Gold Bracket Championship. They battled until the very end, falling just short, 3-2, and bringing home Gold Bracket Runner-Up! 🥈

Making the jump from coach pitch to kid pitch is a BIG transition. It’s a tougher game with an entirely new set of challenges, but our girls embraced every bit of it. They battled through tough competition, stayed positive, supported one another, and continued to grow with every single inning.

There were great defensive plays, big hits, strikeouts, smiles, and plenty of learning along the way. Of course, we have things to work on—but that’s exactly what this season is about: learning, growing, competing, and getting better together. 💪🥎

More than anything, we’re proud of the way these girls competed and carried themselves. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin this next chapter of Aftershock softball.

The future is bright for this group, and we can’t wait to see just how much they grow this season! 💙🥎
