Great job to the coaches for getting them prepared and to the girls for competing hard! 💪

We are so incredibly proud of our Aftershock girls! This weekend marked our very first kid pitch tournament, and these girls showed up ready to compete!

They finished the day 3-1, with their only loss coming in an absolute nail-biter in the Gold Bracket Championship. They battled until the very end, falling just short, 3-2, and bringing home Gold Bracket Runner-Up! 🥈

Making the jump from coach pitch to kid pitch is a BIG transition. It’s a tougher game with an entirely new set of challenges, but our girls embraced every bit of it. They battled through tough competition, stayed positive, supported one another, and continued to grow with every single inning.

There were great defensive plays, big hits, strikeouts, smiles, and plenty of learning along the way. Of course, we have things to work on—but that’s exactly what this season is about: learning, growing, competing, and getting better together. 💪🥎

More than anything, we’re proud of the way these girls competed and carried themselves. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin this next chapter of Aftershock softball.

The future is bright for this group, and we can’t wait to see just how much they grow this season! 💙🥎

Unfortunately, today’s Aftershock Summer Softball Clinic has been canceled due to Palmer Park being closed for field maintenance.

While we’re disappointed we won’t get one final evening together, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU.

First, a huge thank you to every Aftershock coach who volunteered their time this month. You gave up your evenings to invest in young athletes from across North Alabama, sharing your knowledge, passion, and love for the game. Whether it was teaching fundamentals, building confidence, encouraging players after a mistake, or celebrating their successes, you made a difference. We hope every athlete who attended walked away a little more confident, a little more knowledgeable, and with a greater love for softball than when they arrived.

To all of the players and families who came out each week, thank you for trusting us with your athletes. It was awesome to see players from so many different teams and organizations working together, competing, learning, and having fun. We hope these clinics helped you sharpen your skills while also giving you a glimpse of what the Aftershock family is all about: player development, positive coaching, teamwork, and a genuine passion for growing the game.

This may be the end of our summer clinics, but it certainly won’t be the last. We look forward to hosting more opportunities in the future and hope to see many of you back on the field with us again.

The final week of our FREE Aftershock summer softball clinic 🥹

🥎 AFTERSHOCK SUMMER SOFTBALL CLINICS ARE HERE! 🥎

At Aftershock Softball Organization, we believe a true 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization should give back to the community it serves. That’s exactly what we’re excited to do this summer!

Our experienced volunteer coaching staff is donating their time to provide a fun, instructional clinic focused on helping young athletes improve their softball skills, build confidence, and develop a greater love for the game.

Whether your player is just getting started or already plays travel ball, this clinic is designed to help them continue developing in a positive, encouraging environment.

✅ Open to ALL players regardless of team or organization.
✅ Instruction from experienced travel ball coaches.
✅ Skill development, fundamentals, and game knowledge.
✅ A great opportunity to learn, compete, and have fun.

⚡ WHO’S NEXT? ⚡

As we make the jump to 11U this fall, we’re looking to add 1-2 players who are ready to embrace the challenge.

This isn’t about filling a roster. We already have a great group of girls and families.

It’s about finding the right fit.

We’re looking for players born between September 2014 and August 2015 who love to compete, are eager to learn, and want to be part of a team that values development just as much as results.

Our ideal addition would bring:
🥎 A/B competition experience
🥎 A bracket-ready pitcher (lefty is a bonus!)
🥎 A strong bat
🥎 Defensive versatility (speed in the outfield is always a plus)

More importantly, we’re looking for athletes with the right attitude.

Work ethic. Coachability. Selflessness. Great teammates.

Those things matter just as much as talent.

A few things that make our program a little different:

⚡ Low-cost 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
⚡ Open-class schedule, including PGF events
⚡ We bat our entire roster whenever possible
⚡ Playing time is earned and spread throughout the roster
⚡ We believe in developing our roster—not relying on guest players.
