Good Afternoon,

Next Friday we kick off Labor Day weekend hosting the Domestic Violence Network's annual 4-person scramble at 1:00pm. This will be a shotgun start across the whole golf course. Proceeds from this event go to a great cause and we at MCC are happy to be a part of it. We hope you are able to join us for an afternoon of fun on the golf course! This will be the finale of 4-person scrambles for the 2026 season at MCC! Call in to the clubhouse to get signed up or we can sign you up next time you stop in.

Sunday is our club championship with a block of tee times from 9:00am to 1:00pm. We have plenty of room for players yet and I am anticipating more sign-ups over the weekend. If you are wanting to play and don't have a group or at least one more playing partner, please contact me. There is no cost to play. All I need from you is what division you would like to play in. Net (handicap) will be from the whites and Gross (scratch) will be from the blues for men. Both women's divisions will be played from the red tees. If this block of times is an issue, but you would like to play please get ahold of me and we can get something worked out.

Good Morning,

This post is just to provide a little information for what the next few weeks look like.

The Couples Tournament will shotgun start at 3:00pm this Sunday on the back 9. At that time the back 9 will be closed off to any open golf until the conclusion of the event. If you would like to get signed up please call the clubhouse to get registered and we can answer any questions you may have. Couples participants this a reminder to bring cash if you would like to compete in the mulligan game. Details will be explained at registration Sunday afternoon.

We are going to host our club championship next Sunday the 30th. Tee times will range from 10:00am to 1:00pm. There will be both net and gross divisions for men and women. A minimum of two players is required in each group to compete in the tournament. The men's gross division will play from the blue tees and the net division from the whites. If we have enough interest we will add a senior bracket from the gold tees as well. Both women's divisions will play from the red tees. There is NO entry fee to play and we will provide some food to the players. I will get a sign up sheet in the binder today. Please call in to sign up and book your tee time. If you would like to play and are having issues finding playing partners please contact me back via email or cell phone and I will get you paired up with a group. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. We would like to get as much of our membership involved as possible for a fun day of golf. We hope to see you here!

Next Thursday the MHS Cross Country team host their annual invitational starting at 1:00pm. This typically wraps up around 4:30. There will be open golf prior to the event, but we would like to have the course cleared at least an hour ahead of the first race as preparation for the runners will begin then. The course will reopen for play at the conclusion of the award ceremony. Call ahead to double check event status.

Good Morning,

I've got a couple of updates for you regarding the aerification of our greens this week and a range closure over the weekend.

First, starting Thursday morning, Bill and his team will begin the process of aerating our greens. They will get as many done Thursday as they can and finish the remaining Friday. If you are looking to play please call ahead and we will have a better idea of how many holes will be open for play.

Second, also starting Thursday, the range will be closed for the weekend. The practice green will be part of the aerification along with the rest of the holes. We are hosting a wedding this weekend, and there will be tent going up, so the range will remain closed through the weekend.

ATTENTION:

Due to high temperatures and a heat index over 105, we are postponing the 80th Anniversary celebration.

Mark your calendars with the new date: September 18th. Registration will open at 11:30 followed by a 1:00pm shotgun start. There will be a social hour and awards from 6:00-7:00 with music and dancing to follow.

We are sorry for having to postpone, but for the safety of all attending, we felt it was necessary. We are looking forward to seeing you all here on September 18th to celebrate 80 years of this great institution and the wonderful community we've built by being a part of it.
