Attention: Keyboard Warriors, Tear it down Taras, Gossip Queens, Negative Nancys, etc.
I understand it isn’t easy, but it is possible because you can literally rewire your brain. 🧠 The negativity bias is a very real thing and not a place you want to spend too much time.
By no means am I downplaying it if you’re going through something right now.
Seasonal affective disorder—yep, not talking about that either.
I’m talking about the regular social normalization of this type of chronic negativity.
I keep saying, and probably will in a video soon, if your happiness window is excessively small—whether that’s for what you’re doing, the weather, the temperature, or just what makes you happy—a lot of times anything outside of that window is going to cause some level of mood shift or unhappiness.
So what happens if, instead of having an extremely narrow window, let’s say, for example, of weather/temperature that you like, you can appreciate something a little hotter, a little cooler, or less “perfect”?
This applies to so much more than weather; it’s just something we talk about here in the Midwest… a little bit too much.
Spread. More. Positivity.
Is this a mindset shift you’re open to adapting, or just a bunch of BS?
