Last night, our season came to an end with a hard-fought 12–4 loss to a talented Atlee team. While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, these girls have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about. They are officially the 3rd best 8-10 softball team in the state of Virginia, and that is an incredible accomplishment.

For the last four days, this team battled with heart, grit, and determination. Time and time again they proved that rankings, numbers, and expectations don’t define a team. They faced challenge after challenge and continued to rise to the occasion. We couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented Madison.

What makes this team so special isn’t just their talent—it’s the way they care for each other. When one player gets knocked down, another is right there to lift her up. They celebrate each other’s successes, encourage each other through adversity, and play with a level of heart that is truly inspiring. Their determination, resilience, and love for the game make us excited to watch them grow for years to come. The future of Madison softball is incredibly bright.

To say we’re a little fish in a big pond is an understatement. The other top four teams in the state—Spotsylvania, Atlee, and McLean—each have hundreds of players to choose from when building their all-star teams. Our league had just 28 girls in the entire 8-9-10 age division. To compete at this level and finish among the very best in Virginia for the second consecutive year is something this community should be incredibly proud of.

None of this happens without the dedication of so many people. Thank you to our players for giving everything they had, to our supportive coaches who helped shape these girls into the players they have become, to our families for the countless hours, miles, and sacrifices, to our fans who cheered us on every step of the way, and to Madison Little League for believing in these girls and supporting them.

We say it all the time because it’s true—Madison is a special place to raise kids and an even more special place to play sports. The support, pride, and sense of community here are second to none.

Girls, thank you for an unforgettable season. You made your families, your coaches, your league, and your entire community proud.

Third in the State. Forever Madison. 💙🥎

Game ending double play

After 6 innings Madison and Richlands were tied 4-4. International tie breaker took affect in the top of the 7th. Madison’s bats showed up strong and we went up 13-4 in the top of the 7th. A defensively tough bottom of the 7th shut out Richlands and ended the game 13-4 with an awesome double play.

We had 3 pitchers contribute big to the win, 2 catchers, a solid defense and big hits from every player and we couldn’t be more proud of this crew!

We have clenched a top 4 finish in the state tournament and play tonight at 7pm against Atlee at McLean Little League. Last one out shut the gate!

Game time! Let’s goooooo!

Took a loss to McLean at tonight’s last pool play game 11-5. We went 2-1 and are the #2 seed in bracket D.

We have made it to the state quarter finals and play Richlands tomorrow at 12pm at McLean LL. We have guaranteed a spot in the top 8 in the state tournament.

If tomorrow’s 12pm game results in a win we will play again tomorrow at 7pm in the state semi-finals.

We would love to see you tomorrow! Let’s go Madison!
