Madison RC Sailing We are a remote-control sailboat club in Madison, WI. We race Mondays 5-7pm. Park near 429 Gammon Place. COME SAIL WITH US! Summer series is on Mondays from 5-7.

We have a guest boat ready for you to try out. Send a message to [email protected] and we can have it ready for you at our next outing. If you are in the area, feel free to come watch us and we will be glad to pass the controls over to you for a test sail. We are a club that sails remote control (RC) sailboats on the pond near West Towne Mall in Madison, WI. We race a Spring, Summer and Fa

ll series. Spring and Fall are usually on Sunday mornings. We sail the DragonFlite 95 (DF 95). This is a one-design boat and all boats are the same, but you can customize with your own paint/graphics. The DF 95 sails great, is inexpensive, quick to assemble and easy to transport. Over 5,000 of these boats have been sold and there are fleets all around the United States and world. New boats can be purchased at www.RadioSailing.net. You can learn more about the class at www.dragonflite95.us . If you already have a different RC Sailboat and want to join in, please come on out. We race from one of three shores depending on the wind direction.
1) West shore, park on street behind Starbucks, 439 Gammon Pl.. Dock to launch from.
2. East shore, park behind Chuck E Cheese, 438 Grand Canyon Dr.. Dock to launch from.
3) South shore, park behind Saigon Noodle, 6754 Odana Rd. We send text and e-mail alerts as to where we will be sailing, so if you want to know please send an e-mail to [email protected] and we can include you in our alerts.

Docks and buoys are out and thanks to all who came to help remove them before things start freezing. Bill has taken the task on of refreshing the buoys for next year and many thanks to him in advance.

It was smooth sailing this past Saturday at the Pond. Good turn out and we got in 6 to 7 races before the wind stopped.

RC Sailing season continues at the West Towne Pond on Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30. Photo is from tight finish this past Saturday on the pond. Light turnout as many were attending the DF 95 regatta on Lake Belle View. We look forward to seeing how our Madison area sailors did at the regatta and will post results when we have them.

Come help put the docks and marks in tomorrow at 4pm. Everything is loaded onto a trailer to bring to the ponds edge. Jay has done the dock and marks for the last several years and needs some to help at the end of this year. He will take the docks away, but needs someone to help unload and pressure wash them before storing them for the winter. He WILL NOT be taking the 20 marks and making them ready for the next year and we need someone to volunteer to take this over.
