Romero's Boxing School

Romero's Boxing School Romero’s Boxing School is here to educate everyone about the art and science of the sport of boxing. Boxing is very popular in Puerto Rico.

The Romero brothers have been involved in the sport of boxing for more than thirty years. They are five brothers, Jeik, Eric, Raul Ricardo and Anthony. The Romero’s were born in Puerto Rico, in a town named Carolina, known as La Tierra de Gigantes, which means the land of giants. Many people do not know that Puerto Rico has more world champions per capita than anywhere else on the planet. The Rome

ro brothers grew up in a boxing environment. Jeik, the oldest brother, started boxing at the age of 14. They all remembered when Jeik used to train and work out, because he always makes sure his brothers were around so they can join him too. Even as little kids, they enjoyed doing so, and this is how the Romero’s fall in love with the boxing sport. In 1998, Jeik, Raul Ricardo and Anthony came to live to Madison Wisconsin. By then, Jeik the oldest brother, was not boxing, but he was very busy training his brothers. Jeik was in their corners coaching them, and out of the ring always making sure they were focus training and going to the gym every day. Few years later, in 2001, Anthony, won the championship boxing state tournament, and Ricardo won the golden glove tournament. In 2001 and 2002, Raul won back-to-back the Golden Glove tournament, and also went to represent the state of Wisconsin in the National boxing tournament. Today, the Romero’s are actually training their sons and nephews, and this is one of the main reasons why they decided to open the Romero’s Boxing School. It has made them realized that training boxing is what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Due to the knowledge and vast experience the Romero brothers have in the sport of boxing, they are very confident they will be successful in teaching anyone who wants to learn about the art and science of boxing.

‼️‼️ATTENTION ‼️‼️David Benavidez’s team has dismissed former undisputed light-heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev’s account of efforts to arrange a high-profile showdown between the pair.

“They’re lying,” Benavidez’s father, manager and trainer, Jose Benavidez Snr, told BoxingScene's Lance Pugmire. “We want to fight him. Let’s make that fight happen. Tell the [Beterbiev] manager to contact me, and we will make that fight happen in five minutes. Do you have his manager’s number? Let’s go.”

Beterbiev told Match TV he tried to make a fight with Benavidez after the three-division champion defeated Anthony Yarde in November. The Benavidez camp, however, said there had been no contact from Beterbiev since an earlier attempt to make the fight before ultimately agreeing terms with Yarde.

“Nothing happened, but we still want to fight him,” Benavidez Snr said to BoxingScene. “We’re here to fight anybody. If Beterbiev’s ready, let’s make it happen. Who wants to fight? Let’s see. I think they’re all talk.”

Foster and Roach Trade Heated Words Over “Duck” Accusation: “I Got Receipts”

The war of words between O'Shaquie Foster and Lamont Roach Jr. has intensified after both fighters publicly clashed on X over a fight that never materialized.

The latest exchange came after Foster suggested that Roach had avoided a showdown with him, prompting a fiery response from the former world champion, who insisted that money—not fear—was the reason the bout fell apart.

Foster didn't hold back in his post on X, accusing Roach of passing on the opportunity to fight him in favor of a bigger-name opponent.

“Nah you ducked me to fight this dude boy!!! You know what’s up you doing all that tweaking ima catch up wit you and you gone get the same treatment ya mans got!!! BTA.”

Roach quickly responded on X, claiming he has evidence from negotiations and alleging that Foster's side failed to make a fair offer for a unification clash.

“I got receipts n***a! You know I got the ‘negotiation’ convos. YALL low balled me for a unification! I tried to get more money in both our pockets n***a TopRank wasn’t backing your play trying spend cash 4 you to lose 😂 I defended against him for the same money and gate!”

According to Roach, the fight did not happen because the financial terms offered for the proposed unification bout were not acceptable. He maintains that he attempted to negotiate a deal that would increase earnings for both fighters, while also claiming that Top Rank was unwilling to commit additional resources to the matchup.

Foster, however, remains convinced that Roach chose a different path instead of facing him, keeping alive a disagreement that has now spilled into public view through their social media exchanges.

The exchange adds another chapter to a rivalry that has lingered in the background of the super featherweight division. Both men have enjoyed success at world level, and a showdown between them would carry significant stakes if it can eventually be made.

For now, the disagreement centers on two conflicting narratives: Foster says Roach ducked the fight, while Roach says the negotiations fell apart over money and insists he has the messages to prove it.

Whether those alleged receipts are ever released remains to be seen, but the latest back-and-forth on X has ensured that the tension between the two fighters is far from over.
