Last week we honored Madison Teachers for the impact they had on our seniors during their time in our school system.

Here is the video of that ceremony if you missed it.

A sincere Thank You to

Along with Melissa Colarik from Madison Middle School and Cindy Chaunce from South Elementary.

Well, it wasn't the kind of last game we had hoped for, but Akron Hoban is seeded #1 for a reason.

We are so so proud of our ladies and the season they had.

We had an extremely young group -- lost an all state pitcher as well as many other key players from a year ago.......

Yet this team finished 11-11 on the year and are Sectional Champions.

Nothing to be ashamed of -- now, rest those bodies a bit and start gearing up for next season.

As our tradition.....last home game for our seniors.....Senior Final Run.
They invite people to the game who had an impact on their softball journey and more throughout the years.
Those people line the base paths and applaud that softball journey.

Let's just say the run is filled with many hugs along the way, lots of tears, and true love for the game and the people who helped inspire it.

There is something about the diamond and this game that truly is magical.

NOTE: We do not own the rights to the song being played. We do own the tears of the memories it inspires.

After our final home game of the season.....our players just hanging out and enjoying their teammates. They didn't want to leave -- taking in the suset together on the diamond.

We have a decent record and proud of what we have done, but forget the record -- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

WOW.....Where do I even start?

This team -- a true team that cheers and supports each other.

This team -- this young team -- won its tournament game tonight and are Sectional Champions.

There were so many Blue-Dazzling performances tonight as the ladies defeated a good Kent Roosevelt team 5-4 at home in front of a big crowd.

For starters, our starting pitcher Camille Horvath pitched super the first three innings, then also contributed two hits and an amazing diving catch on the final play of the game to prevent Kent from tying it.

Sophomore Hannah Welch drove in the go ahead runs with a hit in the bottom of the 5th inning.

Sophomore Maddy Jo Moore made several fantastic catches in the outfield and drove in two runs with a single in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Senior catcher Ally Negin laced a pair of doubles, walked and threw out her 9th runner stealing this season.

Senior Natalie Best walked twice and scored a run along with playing amazing at first base.

Freshman Lauren Martin had a hit, walk, and a run scored.

Junior Halle Fields walked and had a run batted in.

Sophomore Payton Toward walked and made several good plays at 2nd Base.

Sophomore Caydence Deaton made a nice play in left field.

And, finally, freshman pitcher Paige Higgins gave up one run over the final 4 innings to earn the win.

The team will host West Geauga tomorrow -- one of the top teams in the area.

It will be a special game as we will honor 5 Madison teachers before the game and then afterwards, our seniors will be doing their final run around the bases at the end -- it is truly a special moment you won't want to miss.

So proud of this team!!!
