Crank Cross

09/23/2026

4 days out. Shout out to our sponsor Clever Fox Cyclery! They will have a mechanic on site for any last minute adjustments or fixes you might need.

🚲 Tuesday truth: you don't need a $5,000 cross bike to race Crank Cross V Gravel bike? Great. Mountain bike? Bring it. Fat bike with tires up to 5"? Also great. We don't run UCI tire restrictions, so if it rolls, it races.

Crank Cross V is this Saturday, September 26, in Madison Heights, MI, part of the MICX Series (Round 1).

The course climbs Mt. Madison Heights and works through barriers low enough that dismounting is optional.

⏰ Register by midnight Thursday, 9/24, for a call-up position and the $40 adult price. After Thursday, it jumps to $50 (but only $15 for Juniors and $0 Kids Race)

And while you're at it: we've got a limited run of Crank Cross V tees, $25, neon 80s sunset design with a pixel-art rider. Grab one before they're gone.

Registration link in the comments. See you on the hill. 🏁

Five years ago, Crank Cross was just an idea. This year, we’re celebrating 5 years of racing together at Madison Heights’ most infamous piece of terrain. 🏔️

5 weeks from today, we do it again — Saturday, September 26 in Madison Heights, MI. Same “Mt. Madison Heights” climb-and-switchback descent that’ll test your fitness and nerve, same lower-than-average barriers that dare you to bunny hop them, same great community… just a little more history behind it.

A/B/C Open, A/B/C Women’s, Single Speed, Men’s Masters, Gender Expansive, Juniors, and a FREE Kids Race — there’s a spot for everyone.

And here’s the best part: ANY bike, ANY tire width is welcome. No UCI tire restrictions here — road bike, mountain bike, gravel bike, even a fat tire bike with 5” wide tires? Bring it. If it’s got two wheels and you’re ready to have fun, you belong on this course. 🚴
