Madelia Golf Club

Madelia Golf Club *MGC will be opening to the public on April 24th, 2026 at 1pm. We look forward to seeing all of our patrons* Enter through the gate to Watona City Park.

The Madelia Golf Course is a challenging 9-hole, par 36 course, nestled along the edges of the Watonwan River and Watona City Park. The course is located just north of the Watonwan County Road 9 exit off of State Highway 60. The golf course’s upgraded irrigation system, installed a few years ago, keeps the course in the lush condition golfers in the region have come to expect. Clubs and pull carts

are available for rent and motorized carts for rent or lease. The Clubhouse also features a full service bar, serving great food, beer and cocktails. Call the Club House after you tee off on #8 and we’ll start a pizza for you to enjoy when you finish hole #9. The clubhouse along with outside tents are available to rent for special occasions, tournaments and meetings. Please call the Club House at (507) 642-3608 or City Hall (during the off season) to inquire about availability and pricing.

We will be hosting a private event in the White Tent this afternoon. While the event is taking place, the golf course will remain OPEN for play!

Parking may be limited at times, so we encourage golfers to plan ahead. Additional parking will be available at the baseball/softball fields.

If you're planning to hit the course today, please allow yourself a few extra minutes when you arrive.

The shed will be closed effective immediately due to the rain.

If you choose to golf in the rain, green fee payments can be placed in the deposit box.

As long as the rain moves out and conditions improve, the shed will REOPEN at 4:00 PM for LEAGUE PLAY.

Please note that the last tee time available today will be at 12:30 PM, and all golfers and carts must be off the course by 2:30 PM to allow tournament preparations to begin.

We will be hosting a private golf tournament this coming Tuesday, June 9th. Because of the event, our course schedule will be temporarily adjusted for the day:

Last Tee-Time: 12:30 PM

Course Clearance: All golfers and carts must be off the course by 2:30 PM.

If you're looking to squeeze in a round before the tournament, make sure to book an early tee-time! We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Normal course hours will resume on Wednesday. 🏌️‍♂☀️
